The parking is a bit challenging if it is your first time going to the theater. I recommend parking down the left side of the theater or in the parking lot directly at the end of the block on the right. I also recommend getting there about 45min early to get decent parking as well as concessions. The cast were teenagers and were truly entertaining. I will definitely start adding this local theater company to my list of places to go on my weekends and support these talented young people.

I purchased tickets on the website and was able to pick them up at will call. You can also have them sent electronically to you as well. Its in the very popular and very cramped Haymount area of town, so parking makes you get a little creative. We parked at a nearby restaurant that we frequently get brunch at. The box office area was smooth, as was the concession area where I got some popcorn and a water. We were shown to our seats by a wonderful staff member, and I had scored some amazing spots on the third row. The sets and the costumes were impeccable, the acting marvelous, and the experience outstanding. There was a small intermission, and I used the restroom, which was very clean. The entire night was just amazing. We learned that there is a huge expansion project starting this summer (2024), and all those additions sound pretty dope as well! Cant wait to see another play here!

Great selection of snacks in addition to some pretty tasty popcorn. Also they sell beer and wine. It's old timey so dont expect cushy recliner chairs or fancy bathrooms. I will definitely keep an eye out for their showings, it feels more special than a huge name theater.

There are bathrooms on the first floor and several doors leading into the auditorium past there. Our seats were on the balcony level, so we headed up the stairs. I am not sure if there is an elevator. The balcony is a large area, but the seats are somewhat cramped in. I had to sit to the side in my seat, as my legs were too long. I don't know if that was every area in the whole auditorium, but it's kind of off putting. Overall it was an enjoyable night, more so because of the event, and not the venue that housed it, but it was a clean and safe atmosphere.

It's about the only way I'd get to see this level of performance. The space is large and clean. The staff is extremely friendly. My wife took me and our daughters to see the Off-Broadway shows Spamalot and Once. Both were fantastic. Our family talked about them for days after. My wife and I saw Taming of the Shrew by the theater department. For that small performance we, the audience, were seated in the round, on-stage with the production. I've seen the university music department's Holiday Extravaganza two years in a row and it's the musical highlight of my holiday season. The staff served hot chocolate and I think I saw a crowd of families around a Santa this year. Our daughters participated in the summer theater camp for several years when they were younger. i wish there were better dining in the area to make a night of it but that's not something I can hold against the theatre. Because it's located on the UNCP campus, it doesn't have its own physical address to punch into a GPS but, it's easy to find at the edge of campus, on North Odom St. near University Drive in Pembroke, NC. There are parking lots on both sides of the building, as well as some spots in front. The Mims Gallery has some great exhibits that I haven't seen anywhere else. This visit, I got to see the Charles Schulz exhibit. Admission was $5, and you got to learn about the artist and the Peanuts characters. A Bob Ross exhibit was also here with his artwork. The lobby has a player piano that is a delight to listen to. Performances are held at the center throughout the year.

They check you in, and you are free to wander the exhibit and can even touch the paintings! They naturally have the Bob Ross channel playing continuously, and there are a few benches so you could sit to watch. There are people walking in front of you the whole time, but it's still always amazing to see him painting. Tickets are completely reasonable, so if you have a chance, check it out! Ross's happy little trees will make you smile
