That day it was fried catfish, okra, shrimp and baked potato. Food was delicious. Drinks were sweet and unsweetened tea along with lemonade. No soda, but you can bring some when you visit. They lead him by the arm, which he loves when women show him attention and walked him into their dedicated memory wing. He's had a rough go the last few nights, but he's an escape artist. I think he's getting use to the facility. Being that it's memory care, it's locked down. And he has less free run. We're confident that they are the best care in Jackson and surrounding towns.

She needed more care than they would be able to give. Within a few days of signing and giving 2 checks in the amount of $1108.77 I called to cancel our move in with my regrets. They understood and told me it was no problem as she had not moved in. "Her money would be returned in two weeks". That was March 14, 2019. She is on a small fixed income and has since been diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and delegated to a Long Term Facility. After months of calling and being reassured that "the check is in the mail" by the manager of the home, we have yet to receive it. I have been making payments out of my own money for which I can not afford. All the excuses and condolences are not doing us any good. But the cash they so easily took with a smile, would help her. My next step is an attorney but I felt it incumbent upon me to let the internet world know that they need to protect themselves and do not trust those who pretend to have your best interests at heart. And this facility and the Corporate who runs it are not honorable. Since this facility is also affiliated with A Place For Mom, I would be hesitant about them as well.

Sharonda went above and beyond to help us navigate his discharge. Dallas was funny, kind, caring and went above and beyond his job description to accommodate our needs. Tucker was my father in laws favorite employee. He made him feel safe, loved. My father in law said he needs to go to nursing school bc he would make an outstanding nurse. He truly cares for his residents. Sherry was so helpful. Every single employee we encountered was exceptional. If we needed anything someone was available to see to our needs. I cant say enough good things about the facility. And once my father in law was discharged home. Sharonda and Dallas personally drove him home and got us all set up and showed us what to do. Please don't think badly of me but my previous experiences with convalescent centers/nursing homes had mostly been fair to worse. The predominant odor was stake cigarette smoke and most likely coming ftom the staff since everywhere I could see were No Smoking signs posted! The employees I interacted with courteous and helpful. After signing in and answering the obligatory questions regarding my COVID-19 status I was allowed to wheel my friend outside to visit. The patio section was small but did function as intended. My friend informed me that she was very pleased with the care and treatment received here. Also said the meals were much better than across town in her previous site. Overall she gave Oakview a good rating and in my brief time there can only concur!

It is clean, well maintained, and very friendly staff. They have everyone on a very strict schedule, and they make their rounds frequently enough to make sure that everyone is in good condition.
