I actually REALLY like the Gibraltar Weekend Market. Sure its a bit rough around the edges but the deals are plentiful and the people watching is entertaining.
The parking lot gets very busy and it's a bit haphazard sometimes. Watch out for pedestrians!
There are a few fry shacks and street meat vendors outside if you are hungry before you enter.
There is a food area, one large room full of frozen stuff and then a big area with pepperettes, cheese, thai, deserts, chocolates, Keurig refills, everything! We like that you can get samples at most places.
There is a vendor that sells old discontinued makeup and tons of leggings, dresses, and cheaper clothing. I've been meaning to go pick up a pair of leggings with fleece on the inside. Toasty warm!
We purchased an electronic from one of the vendors and it broke (it was just a knock off). He didnt even ask us a question, just replaced it on the spot.
If you are looking for cheap rugs, stereo equipment, books, video games, movies, body and regular jewelry, clothing, furniture, the GWM has it all. It really is fun to rummage around for a few hours.
It's also attached to The Forest City Surplus which will take care of your surplus needs.
It isn't glamorous, it's no Covent Garden, but it has a special place in London's heart and it's AWESOME! So slap on your favourite pair of sweats and get out there this weekend, you wont regret it! read more
