We celebrated our office xmas party here this year…read more Since its a bit outside town, they organized buses for us. Once we got there, we left out coast and came inside a beautiful greenhouse. Felt very nice and warm, but with a tropical flair to it, because of the amazing plats around us. It was perfect for our party theme, magical green and it was a nice ambiance for a party. Inside our tables where around big trees, which unfortunately covered a bit the stage. I was right behind one, so when the ceo gave her speech i had to move a bit to see something. The food was nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. But i guess that depend also on what the company ordered. The dessert was the best of all, but the wine was again really bed so i didn't drink much. After dinner the dance floor was open and it was perfect! We used the stage and had lots of fun So in all a good venue for a big event!

Isn't that where someone got stabbed a few years ago? Anyway, it turned out to be kind of industrial-looking inside, lots of concrete, mostly white-washed walls with red accent walls. Actually kind of cool, with seating and projector and sound system on one side for the morning's presentations, a little lounge area on the other side, a bar for drinks and snacks, plenty of tables for the afternoon team-building activity, and an elegant dinner table set up on the far side. There was a little set of stairs that led up to some more lounge seating on the upper floor. Open coat rack for hanging up our winter stuff, and the staff was SUPER friendly and nice. My only complaint was that it got kind of cold, as it was snowing outside today, and I'm not sure they have central heating. I noticed a space heater on the floor, but it didn't really warm up the place. And the bathroom downstairs was FREEZING. But still an awesome venue for our off-site meeting, and the little sink in the middle of the room was perfect for our painting event in the afternoon. They also had a giant meat slicer for slicing up salami and other meat for the evening apéro. I highly recommend this place for events, as it's not as stuffy as being in the office or a hotel someplace, but be prepared for some cooler temperatures if it is cold outside. Great sound system and disco balls on the ceiling also provided a fun atmosphere.

Beside that everything was fine so far, except the long cue in front of the wardrobe which was nasty, the price for drinks (5.00 chf a beer is okay for Zürich but why does water have to cost the same ? does it ease up the calculation), and why can't you buy some snacks inside, we were lucky to find a kebap shop before coming here otherwise we were starved before the main act. What was hard to understand is, why was the balcony which was closest to the stage blocked ? Can just have security reason but was difficult to understand. Result: Depends on the main act, if I visit the location again or not.

The place is big and we got in fast. We already had our tickets, so don't know how it is if you when it is just a party. But don't think you'll have to wait up much. We did have to wait a bit to leave our cots, but guess that is normal during winter. The drinks where priced as usual and there was also some food, like fries, to get there. For a show it is a nice venue. Spacious, but cosy at the same time. Going out was the hard part. We even left earlier to get our coats, but they didn't really have a system so they kept going around all the jackets until they found ours. I do want to come here one day for a party. Super plus it is really like 5 min from my house! So I'll definitely check it out again!

There was a large open space inside with a stage for performances and a smaller upstairs area for additional seating. I liked how everything was open and spacious and flowed quite well. We had hot and cold buffets lined up on the sides, the bar was smack in the center of the room in a circle, so the bartenders could serve us on all sides, and the dessert buffet was against the wall on the other side of the room. They had small buffet tables for standing and mingling and eating, and also long high tables with bar chairs on the sides for sitting and eating. Lots of room in front for dancing later on in the night. I really enjoyed the food variety. Appetizers included samosas, spring rolls, rice in grape leaves, olives and cheese, sun-dried tomatoes wrapped around cheese. Cold dishes included some kind of carrot mousse, turkey slices in capers and cream sauce, delicious giant shrimp with cocktail sauce, and a variety of salads such as carrot, cucumber, pasta, corn, beet, tomato mozzarella, and lettuce. Hot dishes included roast beef with au jus sauce, chicken skewers, roasted potatoes, salmon, pork, rice, veggies, tortellini, and some kind of cabbage wrap. Dessert included ice cream, macaroons, tiramisu, raspberry mousse, flan, cream puffs, Creamschnitte and various other cakes and pastries. Restroom facilities were conveniently located to the side with lots of stalls, so little or no wait for the ladies room. :) And they also had baskets of lotion and hair spray and stuff there for you to use.

It's a super giant stadium to hold plenty of fans, but on a…read morecold day, avoid the front of the stands. From the outside it doesn't look so big, 'cause into the ground the builders did dig! The bathrooms were large, and more or less clean too- handwashing water was ICE, but what ya gonna do? They had little food huts serving sausages and fries, and brought warm punch to the stands, what a surprise! For 30CHF, we saw a fun soccer game (but until the last minutes, it was kinda lame). The "hooligans" sit in the opposite corners of the field, and there are plenty of police to keep it from 'getting real.' It was a neat experience, probably more fun when it's hot. And a final warning: it's packed on transport to/from this spot!

I think they put extra trams in service just for the concert. Multiple lines to get in that moved fairly quickly, refreshments for sale all along the side and also on the main floor, and porta-potties on the main floor, too! They laid some kind of mat thing on the ground, so we weren't actually trampling on the grass. Going home after the concert was a bit of a mess, as thousands of people were lined up at the Letzigrund tram stop. But we just walked a few blocks to the next bus stop, so going home was still manageable.
