We couldn't decide if we wanted to do Boboli or Bardini (no time to do both) but we ended up at the entrance to Bardini first so we decided to check it out. Fair warning, the entrance isn't very clearly marked. It looks just like a business front and I was confused as to how entering the park would actually work. I didn't do much research (which is a shock I know) into this garden before coming and was a bit daunted by the uphill climb. From the entrance, I assumed there would be a funicular or something. I was wrong. Not only am I not in shape, but I've been having some medical issues, and I was terrified I just paid an entrance fee to a park that I cannot check out. Luckily, the switchbacks are super gentle. We could hardly "feel" walking up this hill. There was also a lot to look at as we walked up so it was really a beautiful "hike." We were confused a bit by the signs and how far the garden went up. We weren't the only ones either because two couples past us while we rested on a bench, wondering if they were going the "right way" as well. I was expecting a bit more "garden" but got more "trees and shrubs" but I think this place is worth the hike just for the views of Florence alone. read more

This beautiful park is under the radar, which isn't exactly a bad thing. You can enjoy peaceful walks with incredible views from every part of this park. During my visit, it wasn't crowded at all and it made the experience that much better. Highly recommend! read more

A park that isn't visited by as many tourists as Boboli which is a great thing. Perfect views and the wisteria canopy is otherworldly. Amazing views of the city, plenty of seating and cafe on grounds make this an excellent place to get your fill of nature without cooking in the sun like other gardens. Free entrance if you bought a Boboli garden ticket. read more

Giardino Bardini - Parks Near Me - Florence, FI

Not as big or grand as the Boboli gardens, but just as scenic. This is a smaller, charming garden with an unrivaled view of the city. If you purchase the Boboli Gardens ticket, this one is included with it (same day use, I believe). At the top of the hill, there is a cafe where we saw people snacking and drinking aperol spritz with a panoramic view of Florence. Feel free to take in the view and then take your time descending back down through the lovely wisteria archway. Plenty of wisteria in bloom when we came to visit back in mid-April. This garden is next to Boboli Gardens/Pitti Palace and you can either buy admission just for Bardini or if you buy a ticket to Boboli you can get into Bardini free. This is a small but beautiful garden area, well designed with lovely paths through trees, bushes and flowers. The views of Florence from this hilltop garden are spectacular. I think the view was more worthwhile of a visit than the well-groomed gardens. There is also an outdoor coffeehouse where we stopped for a panini sandwich and espresso. We sat and ate our snack while enjoying the most incredible view of Florence. Although it's much, much smaller than Boboli Gardens I actually liked Bardini more! read more

Definitely a must visit garden if you are visiting Florence. Unfortunately coming in August, we missed the flower blooming season. It was still beautiful and we'll definitely come visit again! It's actually not very big...but a nice scenic route as you walk up to the top of the garden. At the peak of the garden, there's a cafe to relax, enjoy a refreshing cold drink and gorgeous view of the city. We really enjoyed our visit here and we got some great pics for memories! read more

Absolutely magical spot. I loved my time here walking around the gardens, taking pictures of the statues, and just lounging about. Bring a full battery since there are so many photo opportunities in this place. Side note: Pre-planned my trip but unfortunately had to rearrange my itinerary since this place wasn't accenting any more people into the gardens (I arrived at 3:30). read more

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. We stopped here on out last day in Florence and we are so glad we did. The rest of the city was packed to the seams with people and yet this place was practically deserted. We did have to walk up a few pretty big hills to get to the top, annnnnnnd it was very warm outside, so that may be why it wasn't packed. But it was a good workout and we were rewarded with amazing views of the city. I can only imagine how incredible the gardens would be in the spring months, with all of the blooming plants and flowers. We loved our visit! read more

Comparing to the adjacent Boboli Garden, Bardini Garden is intimate in scale but i like it more than the grand garden in the Patti Palace. Walked up the winding path under canopy of trees, you will arrive at the hill top terrace. You can enjoy the amazing panoramic view of Florence with a cup of coffee at the Kaffehaus. The Kaffehaus serves light lunch as well. Wish I was there in April, the garden will be amazing when wisteria is in full bloom Note: They do not accept Firenze card here. The entry fee covers the adjacent Boboli Garden. read more

These gardens (and the Boboli) are closed due to the storm on Sept 19, 2014. No mention of this on their website!! We showed up after much planning of our days, and there is a closed sign. They must not put this in the website bc they think that once people are there they will just buy a ticket to the Pitti Palace. I don't know. Maybe if you call you can get more info. ?? read more

Really beautiful gardens, that seem to be surprisingly unknown. I was lucky enough to visit here with my family, it really needs to be visited as I won't be able to do it justice in words. If you get the chance to visit take a camera as you can get some of the best views of the city from the top terrace. If you are going with a local remind them they can get in for free if they take some form of identification with their address on it. The gardens are very peaceful and just sunning. read more
