It's a poorly maintained collection of very old trees (THEY are beautiful) and one flowerless rose garden planted in the shade. I've enjoyed some fabulous botanic gardens around the world. This would be a disappointment if it was a suburban Chicago park. Beyond the age of the plantings, there is nothing to offer the tourist here.
