There's so many pizza joints to choose from, but Giant Pizza is definitely one of our favorites! What makes it 5 stars? - they have a nice selection of pizza and toppings - the pizzas were fresh, hot, and tasty - we don't eat pork so finding a halal pizza place that has beef pepperoni was amazing - they have XL giant pizzas which are 28 inches and great for any party (each pizza had approximately 28 square slices that could easily feed 10-14 people) - their delivery fee was reasonable at $6 and they delivered on time - customer service was great: the gentleman who took my phone order was polite and professional and all the pizzas had the correct toppings - they open early at 10am and close late at midnight The pizzas went so fast so I could only take one picture lol. Moved to the area about a month ago and was excited to try this due to reviews. Halal and gyro on meat lovers? Sounds great! I ordered 20in meat lovers, 5-piece cannoli, and a tiramisu. However, it did not live up to my expectations. The pizza was decent. It was okay. It lacked flavor. It lacked seasoning. It lacked that oomph. Not good enough to make me go back. The cannoli was not so decent. The shells were thick and overcooked. The filling tasted more of canned vanilla frosting than ricotta. Some weren't even filled all the way as I could hold up the cannoli and see the other end. This also lacked flavor. The tiramisu was defrosting when I first took a bite. Once it defrosted I discovered, it also lacked flavor. I placed this order for pick up. Service was friendly enough. The guy at the counter was nice but received a call as he was helping me check out. I waited for him while he took another order and waited for him to grab the cannoli and tiramisu that was in the fridge area in front of him and the phone. Felt like this incoming order took priority since I had already paid. Overall, will not be going back place was a let down. read more

Paid by card. Giant Pizza is located in the same plaza as Robek's and offers plaza parking. I ordered to-go on a Friday night for dinner and was told 40 minutes for 2 large pizzas. I had a little trouble ordering and had to repeat the order several times. I ordered a large cheese pizza and large half pineapple and half sausage and pepperoni. The larges are HUGE. For one family I would probably order a large or medium, depending on how hungry everyone is. It was a little pricey at $75 for the 2 larges, but it lasted a couple days. I am happy with the taste of the pizza and would go back. I would just recommend you triple check the order with them when you order. read more

10/10 quality food and freshness. The owner gets the dough prepared daily and this shop is a testament to making his dreams a reality. He puts his heart in the craft of this food. It's big pizza I've had NY style pizza before all over the east coast, but I'm not sure if I ever had halal style pizza let alone in San Diego area. This place is pretty hidden and the only reason I found this was typing pizza on Apple Maps. It's pretty small with maybe a half dozen tables and decorated for the Halloween spirit. The lady at the front desk said I could get a half half if I wanted. So I got half meat lovers and half their supreme. I had a great conversation with pizza maker about what halal is and how it's prepped. You don't get disappointed with the portion for sure. It took me a couple of days to finish this meal. And it was just as tasty from begin to end. Overall four stars. Service was great and the pizza was good. Prices are high but I think with the amount of food I got it was worth it. read more

Well my review is long over due because I went here back in October. It was our first time here and super nice. We placed an order for pick up thru phone and the staff was super nice. I think we got half chicken & half margarita pizza which was super huge. The pizza itself had a different crust than your usual fast food places like u can taste the authenticity of the crust. There is a good amount of parking outside & seating inside. They had some cute Halloween decor going on. Also the staff was super nice because we told them we placed an order too for a 2L bottle but I guess they forgot to charge it to us, so they gave it to us for free. Wow! I had the best experience here tonight. Was looking for a local pizza spot to check out for dinner. Found Giant Pizza NY Style, reviews were solid and I always like to support a small business when I can. This review might be longer, there is a story here. They are located at the corner of Bernardo Center drive and Iberia place, in the corner of various shops there. When I entered Ali the owner welcomed me and from the start I could tell he was passionate about his business and his craft. The decor inside has no frills, just a few tables and the front counter, everything you need. You can watch some Netflix on their big TV as well, which is cool. I ordered their special, a giant slice and soda, added a side salad topped with chicken. As I waited I started talking more to Ali and somehow we got on the subject of him using beef vs pork for his meats, specifically his pepperoni. I told him I loved pepperoni, but if you read my other reviews, you know I am trying to not eat processed meats as much. He insisted I try his and proceeded to go get a slice, cook it and brought it to me, so nice, who does that? Someone who loves their business is who. As I sat and ate, we talked more, the pizza was amazing, crust was crisp and chewy at the same time, perfectly seasoned and flavored. These slices are huge! Did not skimp on the mushrooms either, very very tasty cheese. He was right on the pepperoni as well, same great crust, the pepperoni had a spice to it, which I loved, not as greasy as pork and probably less fat I would guess. He makes his crust as well as his own pasta on site. He tells me his pasta and lasagna is epic, next time I am here, I will give it a try. I also found out that Ali is also an Olympic boxer, at least he is going to try to make the 2028 Olympics in LA, I believe he has been accepted, but needs to be qualified or something like that. I really wish him luck and hope to see him there, who knows maybe I will run into him in LA during the Olympics. Go support his small Family business, wish him luck with the Olympics and give him good vibes to get there and achieve his goals in life. It is rare you meet someone randomly that is so genuine and kind and passionate about life. The food here is amazing! My husband and I LOVE the Philly Cheesesteak Sub, pure perfection, the meat is so tender, it just melts in your mouth. Today, I called and Ali answered, he is always so friendly and positive. I asked if he could make a Philly calzone, and he did. You get hit with that first. I swear it made us even hungrier than we already were. When we opened the first pizza box, all of our mouths simultaneously dropped. You know how restaurants and chains these days will advertise their products with misleading photos that look a lot better than what was actually sold to customers? Well let me tell you that was NOT the case here. The pizzas looked as good as they tasted. First off, the fellow serving me is the owner. He has been in business for two years, and his love for his craft shown through as we discussed various topping combinations.
