Water is constantly out of service. We shut down our camper this weekend for the last time staying…read morehere and received a notice that the water was shut off again throughout the whole campground. Everyone who wasn't us had no water to close their camper the next day. This place is basically a dump. It was a decent camp when we came, but in 3 years we were here it became trash. There is no upkeep and Tessa is literally the worst manager ever. She's not friendly and would rather be on her phone or watching TV.

This was an overnight stay for us; we booked one night as we were traveling. Received the email…read moreconfirmation and nothing else. The administrative processes are not travel friendly and this operates as primarily a seasonal campground. - Showed up to registration at approximately 1815 hrs and the office was locked up. We were charged for the night, so we completed a virtual check in. - We received check in emails TWO HOURS after we pulled onto our site. We were supposed to print something out (yeah, let me plug my printer in... ) to show that we were "supposed" to be there. - NEVER saw an employee. The cost for the lack of maintenance was not worth it: - Bathrooms are not centrally located. - We had to hook up to the water: the water on the campsite smelled like sulphur (rotten eggs) - do they operate a public water supply that is not required to be treated? We used bottled water and didn't shower. - There was improper drainage: a culvert and ditch adjacent to the campsite was full of standing water, breeding nice lovely bugs. - The site was once a tent site. Pulled off the road and was four feet off the main camp road. - The tow vehicle was two feet from a massive boulder, which was supposed to be a pull through site. - Pulling offsite was a sketchy business because so many other campsites have additional buildings, dodads, etc., which encroach on the teeny gravel roads. - Buildings (cottages?) looked run down and unkempt. Courtesy: - Golf carts and vehicles alike travel the road late at night; most vehicles are well above the posted 10 mph speed limit. - Most campsite drivers have no interest in getting "stuck" behind someone towing; they will gladly speed up to get ahead of you, even if it means cutting you off. - Other campers were not all that friendly - we walked the route we were going to use to pull off and everyone just stared. It's the most bizarre camping experience I have ever had. This was not a favorable experience for us.

If there were more stars, this would qualify. This place is absolutely magical. I am not a camper…read morein any sense of the word. When the opportunity came to spend a girls weekend away we opted for Glamping as an adventure to explore and enjoy time away to relax and unwind. I am so glad that I stepped outside of my comfort zone and enjoyed a fantastic two nights at this absolutely stunning and wonderful place. There aren't enough adjectives to describe how truly amazing this place is. It has to be experienced. Before we were even leaving we were already planning our next visit. This will easily become an annual event. No doubt. This retreat would also be a terrific place for bachelor/bachelorette parties, girls weekends, guys weekends, birthday celebrations, baby moons, honeymoons, book clubs... absolutely any reason to escape into the arms of nature where you are surrounded by the beauty of the area and amazing amenities. Regardless of how many people are in your group, this place has an option that is not only affordable but also guaranteed to give a fantastic experience to all guests in your group. There are cabins that fit 12 people (their own shower/bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, fire pit with chairs, grill), yurts (personal fire pit, covered picnic table, outdoor chairs, grill), and a main lodge room (keyless secured entry, sleeps 8, connected to communal kitchenette, showers, restrooms, lounge space, grills, fire pit). See their socials for the options. There's also a terrific map that will show you where all the amenities are located in relation to the sleeping options. Regardless of which one you pick, you will have your own personal space along with clean and well stocked communal areas. We decided on a yurt. This was on a platform with parking on both sides if needed, our own personal covered picnic table, personal grill, supply of kindling/firewood, outdoor seating, two queen beds, two benches and small table, air conditioning, two electric fans, fairy lights inside, and a small lamp. We were absolutely blown away by the amount of details that were taken in this space to make our stay comfortable and welcoming. Upon entering there's a box of necessities that were on the bed. This was full of flash lights, lighters, fire starters, fly swatter, guest book, pen, bug spray, walker talkie (in case of emergency), and some chargers. The air was already on so the untidy was comfortable when we arrived. This is a self check in and out retreat where they communicate via text and email alerting you to your accommodations. Each bed had linens provided, 2 pillows, comforters, and additional blankets at the bottom if needed. There were 16 available outlets for your things and two USB plugs. There are throw rugs and a two large entrances on either side of the yurt (both with a screen and a closed panel). There are 3 zippered windows that you can open and the top of the yurt has clear panels that you can see out of if wanted. We kept the 'blinds' up to make it cooler since this was August. It's nice to have the option to open the cloth 'blinds' from the top of the yurt so you can see the stars through the plastic panels. We kept the windows closed as we had the air and the two fans running (one oscillating) which really made the yurt comfortable even in the summer heat. When the sun went down, it was even cooler. There's a mat out front for wiping feet and a plastic mat with sides in the inside so you can take off your shoes to keep your yurt clear of dirt. There's also a metal trash can with a lid. Everything you need is here inside. It is absolutely adorable!!! The fairy lights just add to the vibe at night. The yurts do not have a kitchen or a bathroom. You have to walk to the communal area. There are two - one in the main lodge for yurts 1-6 and another smaller bath house/kitchenette for yurts 7-9. Yurts 1-3 are in the meadow. Yurts 4-6 are in a wooded area. Yurts 7-9 are near the cabins and have a much shorter walk to the smaller amenities than the others. If you need to use the restroom frequently throughout the evening, I would suggest yurt 7 as it is just a few feet from the communal bathroom. The communal spaces have been well thought out and are so incredibly clean! The main lodge had a large fridge stocked with their Meade that you can purchase, a full size fridge to throw your food in, a freezer full of ice for purchase, a sink, a coffee pot, microwave, hot pot for tea, seating area, and trash cans. There's also paper plates, bowls, utensils for you to use. They also have water bottle fillet station throughout the property and item for sale. There's snacks, Mac and cheese, ice, charcoal, gloves, hats, water bottles, shirts, etc throughout the property for sale. Simply use the QR to make the purchase. Super convenient. The main lodge had a massage room, shower room with 4 private showers where towels are provided (washrags are not so bring one - the shower has shampoo,

I held a memorial for my ex-husband, attended by our daughters, their families and close friends who were neighbors of ours for years when our kids were young. There are also large living and dining rooms. You can walk on paths on the 175 acres and enjoy the 2 Japanese oak baths on the lower level. I couldn't have found a nicer place to share memories and spend time with those close to me and my ex. We sang, cried, enjoyed the baths and shared meals and memories.

They are now a vacation house rental; only one group can occupy the house at a time. We were a group of four who visited Pembroke Springs Retreat in the middle of August. Because we were the only group in the house, we took full advantage of the baths. There's nothing more relaxing than a full soak in the warm, mineral-rich waters. They offer one meal per day if you rent all five rooms; we only rented three rooms. But that gave us access to their amazing kitchen. They have fresh mountain water which tasted smoother than any city water and made incredible green tea and coffee. On checking in, we spoke to Lisa over the phone who was very helpful and friendly. Because of COVID, everything was over the phone. But Lisa answered any questions we had immediately. We were also happy to meet some of the dogs. :D

There is a small playground that is nice for smaller children, and a pond you can swim in. We found this to be more of a nice quiet place for adults. The one thing that we noticed is that many of the spots, probably 80-85% are permanent campers. Unfortunately the one we ended up next to was not very cordial. We weren't even there half and hour and she yelled at us to get our totes out of 'her' yard. We were hooking up and had a few small totes sitting right outside our camper with electrical, sewer, etc. items. When asked what space we did have, she informed us that we only had the gravel and a small strip of grass on the other side of our RV. Right after she claimed her territory, she allowed her dog to come onto our spot, around the other side of our RV and snoop around all our belongings. It started up our steps when we asked the she please get her dog off our spot. Normally we wouldn't have said anything because we like dogs, but after her rudeness, we weren't going to give any slack. The shower house was nice, but not very clean on Saturday evening. There was some mold on the curtain and no paper towels. There are also no mats or anything on the floor, and it becomes extremely slippery. Be sure to take a mat or wear shower shoes so you don't fall. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the trails around the woods were beautiful. All in all it was a nice weekend, and we would probably stay again as long as we didn't have nasty neighbors. :)
