Noch heute gibt es im Restaurant die so genannten "Kaiser-Erker" in denen die beiden deutschen Kaiser während Ihrer (nicht gemeinsamen !) Aufenthalte auf der Saalburg immer gespeist haben. 1907 wurde der große Festsaal errichtet. Danach folgten verschiedene Umbauarbeiten, die den Landgasthof um ein komplettes Stockwerk in der Höhe und mehrere Räume in der Breite wachsen ließen. Im Jahre 1984/85 wurde das Haus im Sinne seiner römisch-germanischen Historie und Ausstrahlung umgestaltet. 1996 wurde der Festsaal aufwändig restauriert und mit Fußbodenheizung, modernen WC-Anlagen und einer eigenen Küche ausgestattet. Heute steht der Landgasthof den Bürgern und Besuchern der Region offen. Seinen Gästen bietet er den perfekten Rahmen, um private und berufliche Höhepunkte zu feiern.

There was plenty of seating inside but I would encourage you to arrive near opening because it did get full quickly. It's also always good to walk there if you can because parking can be a little bit tricky in Germany! We ordered the three taco platter, chicken chipotle fajitas, and a veggie quesadilla. We also started off with some incredibly yummy chips and guacamole (pro tip: squeeze the lime on your chips before inhaling). Everything was great, the chicken fajitas were the star of the night though so be sure to order that if you're wondering what to get. Pulled pork was a little dry so I would pass on those personally, but the quesadilla was packed with so many yummy flavors and fried to perfection! TIPS & TRICKS: * For those coming from the states, heads up that water (sparking or still) and chips/salsa are not complimentary! But definitely worth buying, so don't forget to order both!

The service was friendly and they made sure we had everything we needed. The outdoor seating was a nice touch too. Totally recommend this place for a solid taco fix.
