I thought this experience was going to be frustrating and painful but it was the total opposite. I am a first time home buyer so Nick really had to walk me through every little step and detail. Get a rate mortgage warning to all 1 . loss leader quotes to entice loan app. Rate started at 2.5 then escalated to 3.5. When learned I was going elsewhere quick drop back to 3.0 no points 2. Doesn't Offer lock -in with quotes. floats market rates. 2 plus months for paperwork delay over 30 days before NJ office started on it. 3. Takes over $500 for appraisal. Never done / ordered and dragging refund. At time of writing this 60 days still no refund. About the WORST mortgage company I ever dealt with. I did a refinancing with them and they were incredibly disorganized, slow and non-responsive. They were so unresponsive that I was told by my agent on the Friday before my Monday morning closing that, although my paperwork was not completed, it was after 5:00 p.m. and he was done work for the day!!!! Then my Deed was not filed for FIVE MONTHS after the closing and it was not forwarded to me until EIGHT MONTHS after closing. The absolute worst, most irresponsible company I've ever done business with. NEVER AGAIN and I would DISCOURAGE anyone from trusting their hard earned money with this reckless and horrible company. If I could have given less than one star, I would have!!!!! read more

Truly one of the best lender companies out here, very helpful and reliable. Highly recommended if you are looking for a mortgage loans, you have to come here @getarate. The customer services was on point; the person who's helped and had my back the whole time was Kathleen Noss (Account Executive ). She has helped me throughout this whole crazy Journal thick and thin. I really appreciated someone who takes their job and their clients very serious. I had a little bit of debit to ratio issues on my side but she kept plugging numbers and helping me to figure out what I can do next or need to do next. She never gave up helping me because she knew I really want to purchase that house. She has tried everything she can to get me that loan. I'm a first home buyer and she had guided me throughout the whole process. Even though when the first home didn't go through, she still stood by me and we didn't spoke for weeks. Until I saw another home, right away I contacted her back and she was there for me. We never met in person but it felt like she was there in person helping me every day for two months straight. Afterward, I was shift over to the processing manager; working with Jan Rinnooi was also amazing, even though I kept rushing him like I'm the only one file on his desk. I wish I can help new buyers/borrowers to avoid a terrible experience with Get a Rate LLC. I'd say this process was not the smoothest ride out there. But then working with people such as these from Get a Rate LLC, there is part that becomes terrible and upsetting. Be ready for false statements, overpriced services, incompetent staff and the Loan "Advisor" very unprofessional. It was a bad call from my real estate agent who referred them. MISERABLE EXPERIENCE!!! I refinanced with Get-A-Rate as they had the lowest rate. I understand that all mortgage companies are busier with the low interest rates and complexities provided COVID-19; however, this wasn't that. There was an obvious lack of competence within underwriting and their overall process flow. It was extremely inefficient and I had to step in multiple times to get answers from Title, Insurance, Solar Panel company... I worked with Danny Valencia and Chrissy Stewart - both were very friendly, accommodating and always available for me. I greatly appreciated that. But, overall, it's not about the people, it's about completion of the task. This was slow, error prone and frustrating. I would recommend quoting Get-A-Rate and having another company match their rates. You'll be glad you did. read more

I would definitely go with these guys. My mortgage broker was Naumce (Nick) Marenoski and he went above and beyond the call of duty to get me a good rate and lower my closing costs to the best of his ability.
