"Clifford" at Gershman Mortgage in Springfield is NOT the person you want to have anything to do with as related to a Mortgage or a Construction Loan/Mortgage from Gershman. When approached for a purchase Mortgage and an "add-on" Construction loan he lied and claimed he had done several of these types of loans when, in fact, he had not and thoroughly screwed things up. "Clifford" is the source of referrals to unsuspecting homeowners seeking an inexpensive General Contractor. The person he refers the homeowner to, Brad Burgess, is a member of a "ring" of fraudulent GC's and sub-contractors who perform shoddy work, never on-schedule, and do not even have the personal funds to purchase necessary building supplies/materials to begin work. Clifford's Contractor-buddy Brad is required to sign an Affidavit that he has completed work and paid, in-full, the sub-contractors he has used. He Lies and signs the affidavit, receives the funds from the Loan and then does not pay the sub-contractor, using the funds, instead, for who knows what. The sub cannot get paid and Brad then lies and tells the sub that the homeowner has a long history of not paying their debts. The sub-contractor then files a Mechanic's Lien on the homeowner's property while Brad has absconded with the money. When the frustrated homeowner consults other Contractors out of desperation and mentions names, they know who Brad is and the existence of his "ring" and their connection to Clifford and agree to testify to that fact in Court. Clifford needs to be terminated immediately by Gershman Management before he ruins their good reputation that they have in other Cities where they do mortgage business. read more
