I worked in Ardara Donegal 3 years ago the time of the big freeze and was living in a most fantastic scenic place called Tullycleave right by the edge of the Irish coast an absolutely gorgeous spot. It was 11.30 at night and had just come back after a 2 night stay away in Galway, when entering my house i notice that there was water trickling down through the ceiling and into the kitchen, it didn't take much to realize that the water pipes must of burst due to the freezing conditions. I had to jog to my neighbors who called a local Plumber Gerry Boyle and he was up in minutes, shot up to the attic, not only stopped the water leak but actually fixed it on the spot, i really couldn't belief my luck, especially after coming back and finding this mess.......And of course embarrassingly enough i hadn't got a penny on me, he said "not to worry about it sure he would see me again" so obviously i was up first thing next morning and straight down to the hole in the wall and dropped the money into him and insisted that he take it....Thank you again Jerry, you made a bad situation good. read more
