My 75 and 79-year old parents bought a Lapis/gold-plated silver necklace for Euro 195 and were…read moreassured that this was Sterling 0.925 silver and "100% allergy-free". They even received a certificate from the proprietor (Mr. Thomas Beccattini). My mother got an allergy immediately after wearing it. When she complained in order to return the necklace (after returning home) Mr. Beccattini hung up on her twice claiming lack of time.
The owner claimed all sorts of reasons of why the necklace couldn't be returned - it was "used" and my 75-year old mother might "pretend an allergy". We sent the necklace back which he didn't accept. Since then, we had the necklace tested - according to our goldsmith expert the stone is not "lapis". The stones are also embedded in a type of metal that is not silver.
Not recommended.
