Stay far away. I dropped off my Volvo at the end of May to fix a dent and my front passenger headlight. When I got it back in mid July, my windshield was cracked, my back left brake light/turn signal was out, my oil and coolant are leaking, and the knob to open my hood was snapped off. They are claiming all these things were there before, but I have evidence otherwise. Dishonest and shameful. Run for the hills!!!!! read more

It's taken a long time to get my vehicle serviced. The communication with Gerber and the warranty company that they are contracted through hasn't been great. This review was a lot more harsh a month ago, but I am realizing that this is t all on Gerber. They seem overwhelmingly busy and Carvana and Silverrock don't have it together at all. To be clear this is my first time ever writing a review that's how bad my experience was! Gerber collision and glass had my car for two month. They would send text messages that were incorrect it would say one thing and when I called they would say another so you never really knew how far along they were with your car. The secretary was very unprofessional she hung up on me twice when I tried to talk to someone other than her. when I had enough because my insurance company was not paying for my rental car I showed up to their location just to talk to a technician or someone that knew about the car. the secretary was hesitant to get someone for me and when she got up to find someone for me she came back by herself and told me everybody was too busy to talk to me. at this time I'm extremely frustrated I've been paying out of pocket for a rental for 2 weeks which is very costly. i tried to ask my insurance to get gerber to pay for my rental in which they refused and I had to keep paying out of pocket. At this time I exhausted anything and everything I could do to try to find something out about my car and nobody at gerber seemed to care. so basically it was a sitting and waiting game with no clue when my car would be done. every time I called they told me they didnt have a timefram! After two long months of not really knowing what was going on my car finally was done. when I got my keys nobody came out with me to look over the car in which I seen them do with other people and I read on other reviews that gerber does that. after I looked over my car I noticed that my aux cord was missing, the 24pack of water that was in my trunk was missing and their was a used cigar in between my passenger seat and I don't smoke! pros- the car does drive well they did a really good job on the body work. the car was clean inside and out. other than the poor customer service and lack of communication they did good i only had my car for a day so we'll see what the future hold. read more

very disappointing experience. Just when you think they fixed your car, they break it. costing you hundreds more. They towed it to a dealership after mechanically making a mistake. Ofcourse this meant more time they had my car and more money for a rent a car. Never again! read more

My car was broken into and this is one of the very few approved sites for an insurance adjuster to see my car and evaluate the damage. I made an appointment, drove nearly 45 mins through traffic (accident on the highway made the trip longer than expected). When I arrived they said the adjuster would not see me and I would need to reschedule - it was only 3:15. I was polite and asked multiple times if there was anything they could do for me today but they refused - the only thing they would do is make another appointment for me, have me drive at least 1/2 hour back home, then drive back there another day. The insurance adjuster refused to even talk to me. Stay away at all costs if you need an insurance adjuster or repairs- you'll only be disappointed by their apathy and poor customer service. read more

0/5 stars charged for 2 brand new tires ended up with an old patched tire. When we went back to the shop to ask about it they wouldn't even look at the tire. Do NOT take your car to Gerber Collision. This was the worst experience I have ever had with an auto body to the point I am going out of my way to write a review (which I have never done). To summarize my experience in one word - GARBAGE. Below is my whole experience broken down: Customer Service - There is NONE! From the front office to corporate, everyone who works for this company doesn't seem to care about the customer or quality of their work. George at the Pittsburgh office didn't seem to care that my truck wasn't done right when I went to pick it up the first time. I ended up filing a corporate complaint and NO ONE followed up with me. The lady at the front desk is the only one who was nice and seemed to care. Workmanship - The paint was over buffed and polished (not sure which) that in the sunlight the paint would turn gray (on a black SUV) and you would see swirl marks everywhere. There was paint overspray so the new auto body has to paint my door which wasn't even part of the accident. The backup sensors were pushed in on the bumper from not being installed right and the bumper was not aligned up correctly. The quarter panel had small dents from the work not being done right. There was white compound all over the SUV and they didn't even detail my car. One of my favorite parts was the taillight wasn't even screwed in all the way! They had the SUV twice and still couldn't get the job done right. The work was estimated to be done in 7 days and overall this took around 22 days. My SUV had to go to another auto body to be completed and done correctly. Communication - So text messages alerts are awesome until you find out that they are not correct and your car isn't ready when it says it is. During the second round of trying to fix my SUV, I had to call them for updates instead of them calling me. Do not take your car here if you care about it or would like the job done correctly. I recently had the opportunity to meet George Liotus, partner in Liotus & Winter Body Shop in Pittsburgh. My wife was involved in an accident and our car was towed to Liotus & Winter at the suggestion of my wife, whose family has known Liotus & Winter for quite some time. I have to admit, I was very surprised at how personable George was, and how professional he seemed to be but at the same time very friendly and easy to talk with. I was told by another body shop owner near where my wife's accident occurred that Liotus & Winter was the best in the area, that statement coming from a competitor. We picked up our car yesterday and it looked like it was brand new, the damage was isolated on the right front fender and the front of the car and you could never tell that the car was ever in an accident. But most importantly, it was George and his staff that I was the most impressed by. Certainly a top notch operation in all areas, I would highly recommend George and his partner's body shop. I've gone to this place twice with rear end accidents and they have gone out of their way to turn such a crappy situation into a pleasant experience. Both times, they set up really cool rental cars for me, and this time, they had my car done a day early. Everyone who works there is super nice and I literally have nothing but good things to say about them. They even offer lifetime warranties on their work. Just a great place! I set up my appointment a week in advance. I was told it was not an issue to get it done in one day. When I showed up at the scheduled time, I was told "oh was that today?" Late in the day I called to see if I could pick up my car and it wasn't done and was told it would not be done until the next day. When I went to pick it up the following day I asked what happened. The guy,(George) who had mishandled my experience from the beginning, proceeded to blame me saying that there was no way that job could be done in one day. If you'd like to be blamed for their shortcomings, you should take your vehicle here. read more

Amazing job is what I would describe it. From the receptionist to the completed job. Erich took care of my car the whole step of the way. He ensured the job was done correctly and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I would definitely recommend Gerber Collision to everyone. Got into a minor fender bender in a parking lot...actually another driver backed into me, damaging my rear quarter panel. Took my car to Liotus and they were able to fix it up, good as new, and quicker than expected. The owner (I believe he was) was extremely courteous and helpful, as was the staff, and the entire experience softened the blow of having my new (newish, owned only 1 year) car damaged by an inattentive driver.
