My 100th review is dedicated to Love, Peace and Happiness!…read moreVipassana Meditation Centre is an amazing place to develop the above mentioned abilities. Completely non-sectarian, focused on teaching only the technique of meditation, secluded from outside world I could not think of a better place to discover the benefits of meditation. I chose this centre primarily because their schedule is so technique focused, really, there is 10 hours of meditation per day with only 1 hour of theory which meant my brains were not overloaded with Buddhist dogmas etc. It is completely non-profit and is run purely on donations of former students. Seems unbelievable, but the benefits of the technique are so good you just want to share it with people and that is why so many people choose to support the centre even after they leave. Accommodations exceeded my expectation in comfort and I could not help but notice that older students as well as those with health issues were accommodated the best way possible. Food was also good. If you ever go, don't skip the white dressing in the cafeteria, it is delicious and is completely plant based, so no dairy or gluten etc. The people were also amazing both students and staff, after 10 days I emerged feeling a lot more at peace, full of love and happy with the world. Of course it is challenging to maintain that state in the daily life, but my friends and family have noticed the improvements in me and that is a good enough motivation to keep going. Lots of Metta to all!!!
