We've been attending for about three years, but the staff isn't personable. The teachers never formally introduce themselves, which is why I appreciate that it's a class where parents can stay and watch. Honestly, I'm not even sure if the teachers know the students' names. The final straw was their "Fun Day." Every year, parents are required to pay a fee before finding out which day their child will perform. Once the fee is paid, a date is provided--if enough students sign up. If the assigned date doesn't work for you, you only get half of your money back. That's completely unacceptable! A set schedule with exact dates should be provided at the beginning of the year. Aside from watching my child during class, there are no other opportunities for them to perform, which is disappointing. This year, I decided to voice my concerns. My first email was ignored, and when I called, I was simply told I would receive half of my fee back. At that point, it became clear that this is just a business, not one that prioritizes families or flexibility. In the end, I chose to withdraw. Please note that they responded promptly to my withdrawal request without any questions, reinforcing my belief that their focus is solely on the business. BEWARE!! Last week of the 2022-2023 year, they could not find a substitute coach for my teens tumbling class. 2023-2024 year begins with a new to us intermediate class and a new tumbling coach. The coach DOES NOT: 1. Run any type of warm up. 2. Check to see if there are any new/new to level students. 3. Know which stations to set up for the tumblers. 4. Check the form of new students when working on skills new to them. When this was brought to the attention of the office staff, they promised a refund for the entire month of August, that last class of July that never happened, and the registration fee (since we are clearly NEVER coming back here). Ive been going there for over a year now and its horrible. The coaches do not coach or correct the children. It feels like a complete money grab. My daughter has not improved at all, everything she has learn is self taught by practicing at home. Watching these coaches just stand there and not even ensure that these kids are doing any of it correctly is hard to watch. Its like watching someone else baby sit your kid for 1 hour. My daughter was training on a team, for many reasons she had to stop training and I had paid the first competition fee (362 dollars) a few days before and they told me that they would give me a refund since that money would not be used. But a week ago they told me they wouldn't do it. Unfortunately, I have not received any response to the email I sent to give me the details and reasons why I would not receive the refund. It is very unfair that they have those shares and are not fair to the clients. I have been very tolerant of many things, both in terms of the charges that were made to me, even after 3 weeks that my daughter had withdrawn and I had to call to complain, having problems with my bank account. Think carefully before accepting that your daughters are there and be very cautious with everything regarding the economy. read more

This gym has two departments, a Rec side and a Team side. This review is for team side. This includes level 3456 bronze silver gold platinum. This gym has not always been bad. In the beginning, they had amazing staff. Knowledgeable and experienced coaches. Just a beautiful place to be a part of. About 9 months ago you saw a decline in the way they behave towards their clients, the way they behave towards their gymnasts, and the way they even behave towards their staff members. This was a very toxic place. But for some of us, our only option."Location". They stopped listening to our concerns, Our requests, our emails and our calls. 80% of the parents told the owner and the director that we would leave their academy if things didn't change . Maybe it's due to the point they were selling; they didn't care what the parents concerns were. Cause nothing was done . For my family with no other doable option we stayed for the season. My daughter was with this gym for a little over 3 years. Her main coach, coach Cassie missed the last two weeks leading up to the State competition . There was no real training those two weeks leading up to the most important competition for the season. That was it for me. While my daughter qualified for regionals, I decided that we would not go. I felt our girls were deprived the WHOLE season, from not having the correct hours of training, & the correct coaches at practice. I withdrew my daughter in May. My daughter was asked not to come to the end of the season party / award ceremony. I still said this was the Best decision we have made as a family . I would not advise anybody to seek this gym out if your daughter is looking for a Team . Their two best coaches are no longer there and that was by far the only thing that kept us there this season. Coach Irena and Coach Serge are amazing coaches and wherever they may end up I know they will produce greatness. read more

My daughter has been taking here for 5 years since she was 2 1/2. The office and coaching staff are amazing. The coaches are encouraging and lovely. Kids night out is great here as well. They are taking the cdc covid recommendations very seriously which makes us feel very safe coming back. GGC is the highlight of our week and we could not recommend them more. read more

Love this gymnastics place! The staff is friendly and monthly tuition isn't too bad at all. The staff is very nice to the kids and my daughter who is 2 1/2 love everything about this gymnastics place. Only downfall is toddler class is on the very side which I can barely see her. read more

We absolutely love GGA. This gym came highly recommended to us from multiple friends and we are very glad we listened. The staff and coaches have been incredible since 2 of our kids started taking classes back in August. The front staff is extremely friendly and always take the time to chat with me while my kids are taking their classes. They have worked with us multiple times in finding the perfect class time for my 3 year old son, who is a little behind. He genuinely gets so excited to see Ms Janey every week and to do his butterflies and splits. I highly recommend trying Georgia Gymnastics Academy for your children whether they are just starting our like mine or have experience. read more

Not a lot of places offer Saturday classes for toddlers, but GGA did so we make the 30 minute drive to watch our daughter have fun in her gymastics class. She just turned 3 so now, we may find a location closer to home, and the only other thing that's somewhat discouraging is that the tots class is held in a corner of the building where it's hard to view from the viewing area. I feel like I'm in people's way when I'm trying to watch my kid! Overall, we are happy with our experience here; the facility is nice, the price is comparable and Jacquelyn loves it so that's really all that matters :) ---Edited for update--- Originally 4 stars, now 2... So, looks like I posted that 20 minutes too soon... today after session, the head instructor (I'm assuming) called the parents in and reprimanded us for our kids wanting to take potty breaks and that they're not focused and that "it must be a full moon," because how the kids are behaving. We were told if this continues then they will start using time-out or essentially kicking the kids out of class by bringing them to their parent. So then she said if we had any questions we can stay and ask them after, just before dismissing us. However, she DID make sure to remind us to sign up for the summer classes. Are you joking?!? These are TODDLERS! They should expect that they may have to use the restroom from time to time as most of them are in the potty training phase. If the teachers can't keep the children engaged then there's either too many children in the class or not enough instructors, which is NOT the parents' fault. Now, I'm not one to just leave bad or nasty reviews (seriously read my others), but this really rubbed me the wrong way. After this month's final session, we won't be returning to GGA. Our daughter enjoyed her time here, however, I am sure there is another facility out there that is right for us. read more

I've been looking to get my daughter into gymnastics/cheer/tumbling. It's harder to find classes for toddlers but this location offers the class. I emailed on a Saturday night to get info on registering and got a reply within 30 mins. That's what I call good customer service. I am looking for to my daughter's classes starting. read more

Overall my child enjoys coming the instructors are nice but the office staff could use a course in customer service. The waiting area is small and bsthrooms could be cleaned more. I would rate it a 3.5 read more

I have two kids enrolled at GGA, and have for the past 5 years. I really cannot say enough good things about the program and the staff. My kids love and look forward to both classes and the monthly kids' night out. There is not much turnover in the staff, so the kids develop relationships with the different coaches and even with the office staff. I have never had a problem registering and there are so many class times to choose from, there's always something that works with our schedule. We drove 45 minutes for 4 years to attend GGA--due to the reputation of the boys' program there-- before recently moving closer to the area, and it was well worth the drive. If you are looking for a well run program for either boys or girls combined with great service and a helpful staff, GGA is the right choice. read more

The classes are fine and my daughter enjoys them. However, not providing WiFi for parents to use in the waiting area, in 2015, is ludicrous. The elderly lady at the desk is quite rude too. Not a good customer service experience but the coaches seem fine and the kids seem to enjoy their classes. read more

My 5 year old likes the classes and the instructors most of the time, however the most inconvenient thing about this place is that if you miss a class for some rason due to illness or anything, there are very few options to come in for a make up. They used to have more flexibility however now there is only one day which is Friday night, which is of course a huge inconvenience. read more

I called to see if I could have my child visit to see if this would be a good fit for her and the lady that answered the phone basically told me she can't do anything for me and if she could at a later date put my child in a novice class even though I told her my child is experienced. Note to owners - you might need a new person on your phones. I've never attempted to join a gym and they don't even try to see your child before dismissing you. My wife wanted to put our children into a gymnastics class. We found this school nearby in Suwannee. After my wife took my kids about 2 months I noticed they were not really improving. I took the morning off from work to go and I observe a few things. The coaches were not demonstrating the moves the children were suppose to perform or practice. I addition I noticed many of the children were clearly performing exercises incorrectly across the board and they were not corrected. I have been an athlete for over 20 years and competed around the world, the first rule is to demonstrate the exercises and to ensure the athletes are performing them correctly to prevent injury. Many of the coaches to me did not seem to be athletes or previous gymnasts. Most of them had a folder that clearly told them what to do and was just putting a check in the box. This leads me to believe this is where they make their money. They are not looking to create gymnasts or at least from the small kids. Don't get me wrong there are some really good kids in the background that are doing some awesome exercises like flips, balance beam exercises however they are clearly on a team and not just in a class. The kids that are starting out are being coached by so called coaches that are overweight and are completely lost. I don't have anything against overweight people, however when you are an athletic instructor under 30yrs old and cant perform, demonstrate, or don't know exercises in addition to being overweight we have a problem especially when I'm spending my hard earned money. I even seen one girl with a clear knee injury in practice and not one time did the coach seen like she cared or tried to check the mobility of her knee or anything. Ask yourself this question, if you were trying to get fit and you were overweight, would you go to a gym and the coach was overweight and could not show you what the exercises looked like or how to perform them or even didn't care that you were injured. I think you know the answer to that question. Although I think this places is pretty cool at first sight and has athletes in it. My children will not be attending this academy anymore. Maybe this is for you, but not my children. In conclusion my kids are no better than anyone else's however for the money we pay I would want a coach or facility that loves the sport and takes pride in producing athletes. Georgia gymnastics academy seems to me like they are more focused on going through the motions for the money. Not my money anymore. read more
