Pants smelled like smoke when I picked them up after having them hemmed. The whole shop smelled like smoke.

The quality is highly variable and you can wait up to three times the length of time he says it will take and even then still not have the job completed properly. His attitude is also at times unprofessional, unwilling to take responsibility for poor work and easily blames the customer. It's a shame, especially when the jobs are simple as were mine: hemming two pairs of pants and sewing on a decorative patch. Very disappointing. read more

This is where alterations go to die! Dropped off a coat in January 24 for sleeve shortening and paid cash up front. Told it would a few weeks. Repeated calls were answered the same way. It's now 6 months! read more

He is the meanest man I have ever met in my life! Please don't ever give him a penny of your money. He will complain that you have came in. He will complain that he has so many clothes to work on. He will not have anything done on time. He can't read his own writing. He forgets everything. You have to call and remind him to do the work. I don't know how he stays in business. read more

George has amazing skills. He's an artist with cloth. Like every artist, you must understand he cannot drop others work to get to yours (well, maybe with enough compensation) - in 15+ years of utilizing his skills, I have not ever been dissatisfied. I try to give him a few weeks to accomplish the alterations and/or repairs. His charges are reasonable. I have recommended him to friends who also found him to be wonderful. read more

Mr George was an absolute joy to work with! Although he had multiple jobs to accomplish, he still fit my last minute request in. I was coming from out of town and only had one day to dedicate to alterations and Mr George accommodated my request. Everything was completed within a 24 hours notice and he did a phenomenal job. We were in town to attend a funeral and we needed to get my son's suit altered. The tailor was extremely rude and disrespectful to my wife for no reason. And after a long conversation with him, he still refused to apologize. We ended up walking away and going down the street to get it done. Mike is a wonderful man! He takes pride in his work! I have been going to him for 8 years now and I have always gotten what I wanted. I give him challenges with all the dresses I gave him and he comes out on top. He is a master tailor and can do just about anything. The WORST tailor I have dealt with. He didn't want to listen as to how I wanted the dress altered and kept on saying "do you see all these clothes? This is what I have to do. I'm very busy and don't have time for this." I dropped the dresses off because I was in a rush but because he didn't listen to what I wanted, the dresses didn't turn out well. He altered the shape of the bust and didn't make it tight enough. On top of that, he overcharged me ($100 for what was done in an hour - for which he initially said he spent 1 day on and then later, he said it was 2 days. He's clearly lying). He was VERY rude, shouting at me "I don't give a sh**!" He didn't call to let me know the dresses were ready (I had to do that myself) and didn't suggest that I try on the dresses to see if any additional alterations needed to be done. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied and would never go there again. I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more
