Excellent!!!! The burgers here are SO good. The atmosphere could use some help (its a tight place in need of remodelling) but the food makes up for that in spades. I have not met a burger at George's that I haven't liked. It's fun to head over there for live music or on First Friday's, too. Worth a visit! read more

If possible I would give the place 0 stars. The bartenders are more worried about pushing the food than drinks. Nothing more annoying when you're trying to drink. If you don't order food, good luck getting a drink. I would never order the food. You couldn't pay me. It's all overpriced and greasy as all get out. Appetizers suck. No pickle chips. No wings. Fries are dry and starchy. Health department should prolly pay a visit. The kitchen is disgusting. And the meat that is served is not kept to proper temp. Eating there you take your own health at risk and pay out the butt for it. If I'm gonna pay $10 for a burger I don't want it to look like that! Horrible experience. Never going back. This is the kind of bar that people in L.A. pay a lot of money to reproduce. The most perfect of perfect dive bars. Old school paneling on the walls, and a jukebox. The best jukebox EVER! 4 plays for a buck... and you get to flip pages, not touch a screen which in my opinion is way way better. Authentic. You don't see bored faces staring at a dumb T.V. Because there isn't one. A projection screen sometimes. That's about it. What you get instead is some of the best tunes, and best conversations from the best wait staff in the city. Want to go somewhere where everybody knows your name, and is really glad you're there? Go to George's. You'll make friends. Meet awesome people. Upscale food in a dive bar atmosphere with the hippest people in the city. Monthly food and drink specials, excellent taste in beer. This place is legit. The staff was super rad. I ordered the Georgio burger and a large Italian festival sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious, the burger was cooked to the correct temp and the fries were crispy. I wasn't able to eat all the fries (that's rare) because they give you so much. The best part was the next day. The left over Italian fries were saturated with garlic and balsamic and because they're fresh cut not flash frozen they reheat like the day you ordered them. Best day after fries EVER. I highly recommend stopping in George's and grabbin a burger and some fries. read more

On my birthday 2 years ago, I went to George's as I heard that had great burgers, and my first visit was great! I like the build your own burger option and had a burger with swiss cheese, grilled onions and mushrooms with the burger grilled medium.......it came out perfect and the hand cut fries were delicious. The second time I went to Georges was on First Friday and I went in with my teenage son and we were less then impressed then our first trip. I am in a wheelchair and there was no way for us to get through even with saying excuse me to people standing so I could at least find a waitress to order. I found a nice lady and ordered my "usual" build your own and my son ordered "the Ornesto" burger. We told the waitress we would wait outside for the burgers and she said no problem. Awhile later she came out with our burgers and I tipped her well as it was quite busy and she had to come outside to bring us our food. My son and I went to a picnick table in the Kregs lot and when we opened our styrifome containers we barely had any fries and the fries we did get were barely warm and limp. Also the burger was missing both the onions and mushrooms I ordered for my burger which I paid extra for. We should've gone back, but with how busy they were and how hungry we were, we decided to just eat what we had. I'm going to give George's one more chance but if the order is wrong, I'll return my food, ask for my money back and find another burger place. read more

We have always enjoyed the casual atmosphere, huge tasty burgers, homemade chips and cheap beer prices. It's a place we like to take visitors. Last night we took guests for burgers. We warned our guests about the size of the burgers and how we can never quite finish them. However all 4 burgers came out much smaller than expected. You couldn't see the meat at all when delivered when typically the burger is larger than the bun. Last night my husband and I tried the turkey burger and were somewhat disappointed with those as well. Tasted like a regular turkey burger. Couldn't taste the apple cider reduction or any of the other special items. The chips were wonderful as always and we discovered the kamikaze sauce from the recommendation of our waitress. Wonderful flavor!!! Live music started while we were there. Always appreciate that it's never too loud and we can still have normal conversations. The beer selection is always great but seems the prices have increased. We always sit at the bar and find the service to be casual and friendly. Overall the food was good but we felt like we were being charged more for less. There are so many other food choices even downtown now. Not sure we'll bring guests here again. We had heard the owner past on and we're wondering if the changes are due to new management. read more

This is a "hipster" place that is doing good things. The food is quirky and delicious and the staff was top notch. They went out of their way to be helpful when deciding on food and drink items. They we're fun but respectful, which sometimes is hard to get at a bar. I truly have nothing but positive things to say about George's and if I'm ever in Canton again I will return! read more

Best Chicken Waffle in NE Ohio hands down! The atmosphere at George's is fun, and comfortable. The wait staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, and makes everyone feel like family. They make some great drinks, but the draft or bottled beer is good too. read more

Update: I have visited twice now without issue. My only complaint is the poppers have very little pepperoni in them, which kept me from a 5 star. My server has been Kaley both times. She is efficient with a great additude. read more

my husband and i just left george's lounge. we were trying to have a nice date night. it tool 1/2 hour to get waited on and after 1 1/2 we still had not received our burgers. yet several customers that just came in received theirs very quickly. the worst ever!!!!! thanks for ruining our evening and charging us $20 for 2 beers and french fries! never will we return. this does not even warrant 1 star. read more
