Your first impression is good the room is large and comfortable, and the rest is downhill from there. There was mouse poop on the bed. My key card didn't work in the elevator and I couldn't go to the front desk from the 3rd floor, so I took the stairs. Bad idea. The lights were burnt out and the stairwell was full of box springs, which is a huge fire hazard. The breakfast had NO variation and the bread was stale. When I asked for an omelette they said the mushrooms would be extra, so I ordered one without mushrooms. It came to me full of vegetable oil and flavorless, I ate 1/4 and they tried to charge me 38 reais for it. The room though large, didn't have a coffee maker. When I ordered a bottle of wine, it came without a corkscrew, and then they brought me a broken one. They didn't clean my room properly, one day they forgot to give more conditioner and shampoo and change my towels. The room next to me had construction for 2 days. I couldn't work with the constant pounding, and even though the hotel seemed empty, they wouldn't move me. If you want service in the restaurant, you have to chase down a server or fine one who is staring at their cellphone. The room has no iron for your clothes. If you want to use the iron you have to go downstairs to the garage, off to the side is an old iron, with a rusty ironing board which is shared with the whole place.
I had to wait in line. Also, the pool is much smaller than it appears in the photo and its impossible to swim laps in. This is the worst hotel I paid good money for. If I didn't pay ahead, I would have left running. read more
