I called Jennifer Hubbs office this morning with a fairly simple question. I had hail damage to a…read morecamper from a recent storm. I had initiated a claim myself via the State Farm app. I received a call from claims telling me to take the camper to a specific, local RV dealer for an estimate. I called and made an appointment with the dealer they recommended. I was informed that there is a $199.99 estimate fee that would be refunded to me if I had them do the repairs. I called and spoke with Jennifer's assistant to see if State Farm would cover the estimate fee in case the camper is deemed a total loss. The assistant told me that she didn't know and they couldn't help me and that I would have to call Claims directly. When I asked if they could do this for me, I was eventually transferred to Jennifer who told me to call claims and ask them. Honest to goodness, I tried to be as tactful as possible but I asked Jennifer directly "What good are you if I can't count on you to be my agent and get this information for me?" She got rather short with me and told me she would call Claims for me. Granted, I could have gotten into the voicemail run around with State Farm claims myself but I didn't think this ask was inappropriate and she probably could reach a human being. The Claims agent called me and said Jennifer had just asked that they contact me. They did not know why and had no context. Thanks for going the extra mile, Jennifer. I ask everyone out there, if your agent is not willing to do any of the footwork for you and just deflects your questions to the parent company, what value are they adding? By the way, I have 3 daily drivers, 3 trailers, and 6 classic cars as well as my house and an umbrella policy with this agent. That's about 14 policies. Seems like my ask wasn't a big deal for what I pay each month. Perhaps a little less time counting money and a little more attention to customer service is warranted. I switched all of my policies to Jennifer when my last State Farm agent locked their doors and ghosted all of their clients for months. I've had State Farm insurance all my adult life. That's about 45 years of driving. Online options that skip the agent are looking better all the time. Jennifer, I would welcome a response and apology but I'm not holding my breath. I doubt you can see this from the customer's perspective.
