I would give 0 stars if I could. TERRIBLE communication and a bunch of liars. I would recommend you…read morego with ANYONE other than American GeoServices for your soils engineering needs, unless you like being strung along, being told flat-out lies, and dealing with people who have no idea what the company is doing. Here is my AWFUL experience with them: I work for a company that requires soils tests; about 50+ times a year. I had originally called AGS, along with multiple other companies, for a quote for a soils test and open-hole report. They came in at $980 total for both services; definitely not the lowest price but not the highest either. A couple weeks after my client was scheduled with another company, I received a call from AGS on 11/7 asking if I was still interested in their services. I told them that I had my client go with GeoQuest, who was charging $775 for both services. They said they understood and hung up. The next day, I received an email Ross Krasovetz and Sam Adettiwar saying that they could perform both services for $600, and have it done within 1.5 weeks. This got my attention, as it was a lower price, and was about 2.5 weeks faster of a turnaround than GeoQuest. I replied the same day and let them know that it was a very promising proposal, and that I would check with my client. My client agreed that it was a good price and time frame, and cancelled his appointment with GeoQuest. This ended up being a HUGE mistake, as this is where the nightmare began with American GeoServices. I emailed Ross & Sam with a confirmation email to schedule the services on 11/11. I didn't receive a response until the next day, past midnight, from Sam that said "Got it. Ross from our office will take care of this". I received a follow-up email from Sam again stating that this $600 price only includes 1 site visit, whereas all of the other competitors out there included 2 site visits: 1 for the soils test so that we can apply for the permit, & the 2nd one for the open-hole report for the county inspection. I quickly responded, asking Sam if we could come to a solution or deal to spread the 2 services across a slightly higher price point. I asked if he could bring it to $775 to match GeoQuest. 3 days later, he still had not responded, so I called the office on 11/15 and spoke with Jennifer, the receptionist, about the deal and when my client would be on the schedule. She said she had no idea what I was talking about, and that the only information she had on me was the original $980 estimate I had asked for several weeks prior. She said she would call and talk to Sam and then get back ahold of me. She never did. I sent a follow-up email on 11/16 asking if it was doable. At this point, over a week had passed since they came to me with the original $600 offer, and I was running short on time. I asked Sam if we could just do the soils test at this point in time and what it would cost, so that my client can be taken care of. The next day, once again, well past midnight, Sam replies saying they can do both services across 2 visits for $775, but that this price would be a one-time-only agreement and could not be used for future clients. I understood & agreed, and asked once again how soon my client could be scheduled for the soils test. And once again, I had no response from Sam. I emailed Ross the next day and asked if he, or anyone, would be able to help. No response. I finally called Jennifer at the office again on 11/19 and asked what was going on, and why me client STILL has not been scheduled. She said she didn't know what was going on, and brought Sam on the the line. He said that this deal was just too much pressure, and they've already spent too much time on it (all this "time" was only 5 email responses), and that they could no longer help me. He said they're pulling out of the deal completely and won't be able to help me. At this point, I became upset and said "This is ******* unbelievable, all you've done is email me..." and before I could finish the sentence, he hung up. Please, do not use AGS!

Do not use this company. I called to get proposal and after reading the reviews decided to not use…read morethis company for soil sampling etc. Sam called and I told him I was not purchasing property. Truth, I did not but what has prompted me to write this review is the following text I received: "As a matter of basic human and professional, courtesy, in future, let another person know if you change your mind, so they don't waste their efforts. I hope you don't get offended by this message, but rather help yourself and others. Thank you for listening. Illegally, we have your authorization, so we can legally bill you for our work so far performed, but we will not. legally, we have your email authorization, so we can bill you for all the administrative and accounting work. We have done so far, and the desk study, but we won't." Never have I dealt with such a company that would bully and behave so aggresively for claimed services that were never intended or received. Also, his said services that he said he could do were not appropriate for Florida in regards to septic. As a single, older woman, I will not let a man like Sam think he can throw threats because I did not "let him know" I was not hiring his company. Shameful and embarrassing for American GeoServices.
