Coming from a fellow hairstylist, stay away from this place, and most definitely stay away from Brinley for extensions. I hate to make this review but I'm left with no choice because the owner still has not reached back out to me about a refund. I initially had Brinley install my weft extensions. The experience was nothing great, tbh. But what I'm most concerned about is the redness, irritation and hair loss/breakage I've dealt with since getting them installed. The beads were literally stabbing me, and the install was way too tight. I came in a few days after and had another stylist, Sylvia check my extensions out. You could tell that she knew they were messed up. She had to completely redo them. Although it did feel better the first day after, the same issues occurred, but this time I had small scabs along with all of the other issues I previously had, and I unfortunately the pain was so unbearable that I had to have my husband take them out for me with his pliers. I was so sad because I wanted to have them for Christmas, and had spent a good amount of money on not only the hair but the service. Not only did all of this happen, but my natural hair that I was trying to grow out is now much, much shorter, and chewed up looking. I seriously cannot even wear it down anymore because of what these girls did to me. So I come back in asking for a refund, and Brinley is nothing but attitude and cockiness. Stating she is "7x certified" and that it's not her install, it's my "sensitive scalp" that's the issue. Even though you stated before the install that if it ever hurts, it's because it's installed improperly... Hairstylist to hairstylist -- it's OKAY to admit when you mess up, and it takes a good stylist to know when they made a mistake and own up to it. Also, we aren't talking a misunderstanding with color that's easily fixable here.. you cause me physical pain, wasted my money, and YOU RUINED MY HAIR. I think a refund is more than warranted. Learn to set your pride aside!! Now I might be picky, but I've been providing luxury services in salons, and my salon suite for many years now. So I know a thing or two about customer service and how to deal with situations like I had. The prices do not match the work I will be 100% honest. Also, I still don't know how they came up with the price of $400 for my install and toner. When I spoke with Kelly on the phone about my refund, she said my install was $150. So are they saying that a toner and blowdry was $250? That was never cleared up and honestly rubs me the wrong way, because I told Brinley my max budget was $400 and asked her to work around that, and then shes like, okay it'll be $400!! LOL. Customer service is awful, and I'm honestly disgusted with how this place runs their business. Mind you, I don't mind paying for quality work, I first hand know why hair prices are the way they are. I get it. I know extensions are a luxury and they take a lot of knowledge and skill to install, but I did NOT receive quality work. And for me to be a stylist and leave a review like this, I'm telling you, it was BAD. My scalp is still recovering and still hurts when I pull my hair up. Please, please do not waste your money here. It should have been a red flag from the beginning that there were only two stylists left there during the busy holiday season, and that all the others have left.

My wife went to the Chop Shop for extensions for a wedding where she was a bridesmaid this past…read moreSaturday...We went two weeks prior to the the Chop Shop to order the extensions and they said it was still plenty of time to order and get them on time..The nightmare that awaited us I wish I saw coming. First they told us $600 when we asked for information the first time.. They went on to informed us a down payment of half would be put down to order them and then you would pay the other half after the extensions came in and were installed..So we agreed to the $600 and made an appointment to start the process. My wife went to her appointment where they colored her hair and matched the extensions up and ordered the extensions...at the end of her appointment she went to pay the down payment to have them ordered and they told her the price changed and the extensions were only gonna be $388 so her down payment was $194 obviously she was surprised because they quoted us $600 so she asked them if they were mistaken and they said that was the price so she paid the $194 and went on her way. The next day she gets a call from the salon saying they made a mistake and they were looking at the wrong prices from 2016 and went on to tell her the total price jumped up to $800 so my wife questioned them after it going from $600 to 388 and then the whole way up to $800...At this point the wedding was about a week away so there wasn't enough time to go anywhere else so we had to commit to the $800. They apologize and went on to say that price included extension shampoo and conditioner and installation So she shouldn't worry everything was included then turned around and charged $80 for installation after putting them in. The very next day several fell out, so we went back up there and they put them back in at no charge like they should have. I figured that would be the end of it..boy was I wrong! We walked out to the parking lot and a few more were loose so she went right back in and they told her they were fine and just follow the instructions they gave her to maintain them which she had been doing since they put them in the first time...The day after that which was the day of the wedding they were already pulling out. My wife went to tame your mane to get her hair done for the wedding because all the trouble she was having she was just done with giving anymore business to the chop shop. Tame your mane had to put pins in the extensions to keep them from falling out. They said the chop shop put them in too high they should be down closer to your ear. The Chop shop had them clear on top of my wife's head and they were visible...That night after the wedding she showered with the special shampoo and followed the care instructions as she should and before she could even brush her hair they just kept falling out..So two days after the wedding I called the chop shop for the rest of my wife's extensions because they had two pieces, they then told me it's their policy to keep my wife's extensions after we paid $880 for them. My wife did not sign anything saying she agreed or understood the terms so they legally can not keep them. So I now have to fight with the owner what a mess!

It felt sticky and straw like. I could barely run my fingers through my hair. I immediately let her know it did not feel like how it did when I've gotten this treatment done before and she insisted that it "looked smooth." It certainly did not feel slick and smooth by any means. Especially not for the extremely high price of this treatment. I called and spoke with her again about the fact that I am very unhappy with how this treatment was done and again--she would not budge, compromise, or understand where I was coming from at all. I'll also note that I arrived on time to my appointment but sat waiting for 40 minutes before it began. I don't ever write reviews but would have wanted to know this info before considering coming here.

He was thorough and speedy (in a good way). It was the best removal I've ever experienced and left no damage to my nails. The salon is clean and pleasant to be in. I'll definitely return for my other nail needs!
