For those who haven't dined out in a while this was known as Gods Kitchen, it is now a family owned exquisitely converted chapel. It is lavish and opulent in its décor and serves a traditional Italian menu.
An evening meal at this restaurant I would suggest is a grown up event and not for those with young children, however they do cater for families and have an outdoor dining area which is a pleasure to dine at on a balmy English evening with subtle lighting. Inside the dining area is over three levels, being a converted chapel you can imagine this is no ordinary lay out and has various little nooks and crannies for an intimate evening and also a mezzanine level which is somehow very clever in its design and doesn't give a focal point if you are eating below.
The staff are the friendliest and most professional I have had the pleasure of encountering in a long, long time. They are always happy , no young teenage staff who begrudge working there for £5 hr. Humorous without being insulting , yet very down to earth which in turn gives a wonderful atmosphere Oh yes and by the way the food is out of this world, traditional Italian menu simple and uncomplicated. read more
