i am a "former" patient of dr geller. i was owed a refund for a night guard i paid for but never received. i recently called to request the refund only to hear the practice had been sold and "so sorry" new practice will not fulfill the obligation of payment due from dr geller. dr geller should have sent my refund automatically --before-- closing out his business --or-- should have transferred that credit to new business for refund. this is very very bad business practice. if you go to this new practice, i highly recommend that you pay --only-- for services at that time, and not pay in advance FOR ANYTHING -- as it is clear they will not refund your money regardless of the fact that you did not receive the item that was paid for in good faith. read more

I can't say enough about how incredible this Orthodontist's office is .This is the best orthodontic office in the north dallas area! The staff are professional, and caring. From the Orthodontic Assistants April and Amber to the Clinical Coordinator Sandi, i cant say enough good things about the staff. It really feels like All of the staff take the time to know you. Which feels nice; especially when you are coming every 2-3 months for almost 2 years. As an Adult who had braces it is nice to come into an office that caters to all ages. I usually check in close to my appointment time and Ive never waited more than 3 min for my appointment. I feel so lucky to have found such a great orthodontist office, where I know they have my best interest at hand. They took such good care of me. Dr Geller was open and honest with me about treatment plans and payment options. I never felt out of the loop. As a transplant from NY, I had to do my fair share of shopping around. My teeth had shifted badly in my 50s and I was told by my dentist that if I didn't get braces my teeth would start cracking/breaking due to the stress of the overcrowding problem. So at age 60 with much trepidation, I started my search for the "right" orthodontist. I got references from friends as to who they used and liked, mostly for their children. I narrowed it down to 2 practices and made appointments for both. I easily decided on Geller & Cohen, as besides their great reputation, they appeared to me to understand my fears as a now 60 year old woman and quickly set my mind at ease (as best they could) that they would work with me. And they did! After 22 months of full braces, I got my braces off 6 weeks ago, and while I got my braces to save my teeth, I got so much more. I really didn't believe that they could move my 60+ year old teeth as they do the teenagers, but OMG, they did. I got perfect teeth and a much broader smile and am thrilled beyond belief!!! The Geller & Cohen group, including the docs, the front office, the technicians (similar to nurse angels) were absolutely wonderful...caring, delightful people who make you immediately feel like a part of a unique family. While I'm NOT going to say that I enjoyed wearing my braces, because I DID NOT, they were simply a means to an end...to have teeth that would last me a lifetime. But this group made the experience as positive as possible, and I LOVE THEM!!! read more

If you want to have braces for less than two years, and be repeatedly told that you are keeping a healthy and clean mouth throughout the process, only to find out after braces removal that you have 17 cavities then this is the place for you. I had one cavity my entire life until I had braces. At every appointment Dr. Geller and his staff told me that my teeth looked great, gums were healthy, and everything was looking good. Upon removal of my braces, X-rays were done by my normal dentist and he was shocked. 17 cavities over the course of 21 months, I've had multiple dentists tell me that this is almost unheard of. I am now 32 and dealing with multiple crowns and a root canal. What is the point of having pretty teeth if you can't eat anything!? I'm more than disappointed. read more

Both of my children had braces with Dr. Geller, and I have to say I was very pleased. Never did I feel " left out of the loop". Dr. Geller and his staff work hard to keep you informed about treatment progress from start to finish and were available to answer any questions we had. I absolutely LLLOOOVVVEEE Dr. Gellar and the ladies in his office! From Shelby to Emily to Becca to Amber...I love them all! They have impeccable customer service and will do whatever they can within their reaches to work with you no matter the situation. They also provide you with information that will benefit your ortho experience. Dr. Gellar is straight-forward, well-educated, and confident about the work he does. He doesn't sugar-coat anything...it is what it is and I love that...realness and honesty. If you're reading these reviews to make a decision on which orthodontic office to choose for your family's needs, please disregard the negative ones. It's not Dr. Gellar's fault that a child accumulates cavities before, durimg, and after the braces are removed. That particular parent should better supervise what their child is eating and take responsibility for NOT paying attention. Also, the bad review from December 2017 is bull crap! That consumer is one of those people who NO ONE can satisfy. She has done eleven reviews and gave good reviews to only four of the eleven. Talk about someone who has nothing to do but spend her days on Yelp talking hella shit about different businesses and employees who didn't kiss her ass and made HUMANLY mistakes by providing wrong information ONE time. Don't believe the negative hype because everywhere you go there's going to be something you don't like. That doesn't make the business or employees bad, just different.
