Walked into Gelato Cafe after dinner because it was very inviting on the outside! As soon as I walked in, I loved the sleek and well decorated space. I immediately noticed several cases of gelato and various Italian desserts as well as a coffee bar. I did ask for a sample before choosing what I wanted, and the gentleman kindly obliged. I got 2 scoops and started eating before my picture so this is much less than what you would get! The service was great as was the value for what I got. Would definitely come back! I almost forgot to add that the gelato was absolutely delicious! I have had Nutella flavored gelato before, but the Kit Kat was very unique and delicious with bites of Kit Kat inside! read more

I enjoy gelato more than regular ice cream. When I saw this place it was a must try for me. If you are unsure of what to get you can sample them and make the ever so hard decision after sampling. It's a cute little place with other Italian desserts as well. They have Tiramisu, macaroons and plenty of flavors of Gelato to choose from. I settled for the Caramel gelato and my friend got the Blueberry flavored gelato. It had pieces of fresh blueberries on top. We both loved what we got. read more

The worker rolled her eyes at us because we didn't buy anything. We are quiet, to ourselves and not making a scene. We pulled out cards and the owner came over very RUDE and LOUD and said we can't play cards because we didn't buy anything and that's not okay.... Very rude and not professional and nice. We stopped in as we were walking down Mandalay Dr and I've never had Gelato before. The lady at the counter was super nice and let me try several flavors before I decided on the Lemoncello. She explained the difference between the ice cream and gelato and I absolutely LOVE the gelato! So much better than regular ice cream. She was so patient waiting on all of us to decide what to get. My friends and I stopped in after having a light lunch. The flavors were pretty traditional and I got Hazelnut and Heath Bar. The hazelnut was light and silky, just like I remember having in Venice. The Heath Bar was fine, nothing amazing but still quite good. Two of my friends got cannolis from the pastry case. All the pastries looked amazing. This place sells coffee, gelato and other desserts, including cakes and cannoli. Gelato is a lot like what we call ice cream, but denser and with a softer, silkier taste. I have tried gelato at many places in New York and Italy, but my "homemade" red velvet gelato from the Gelato Cafe was the best I ever tasted. It was sumptuous!
