The museum has both an indoor and outdoor area to visit. There is no cost to enter the museum.
There are two rooms, one large and one small, with the permanent exhibits. Note that all the text is only in German.
There is one room reserved for temporary exhibitions and it was empty when I visited.
Due to the pandemic, the cafeteria and library were closed during my visit on a rainy Saturday.
I signed in (due to the pandemic) with the front desk when I entered and he gave me two guide pamphlets to know what was going on both inside the museum and outside.
The outdoor area is mostly empty but there are some signs next to some remnants from the past, which help explain what used to be there.
The museum is next to a wilderness preserve so you can combine your visit with a nature walk.
Of course it's not the most uplifting topic but if you are interested in history, it's important. read more
