This company charged me $275 for a sensory glass replacement on my BMW only to have it cracked 24 hours later! The company denied responsibility to replace it for free as they decided a small rock hit it. If you look at the pictures, the cracks are classic stress type as they perpendicular to the edges. Even if small rocks hit, it should not cause such huge damages. They agreed to replace it for "discounted" $200! No, thank you, I'll take my business elsewhere! Update: the other company that replaced their broken window confirmed it was installed incorrectly. read more

Got a large crack in my windshield on April 13 2019. Talked with my Nissan dealer on April 15 2019. They recommend gecko glass. They were real quick to speak with my ins and we set up the appointment for Monday April 29 between 8-3. After 4pm I called them as they were no call no show. They wanted to put me off until next week. Unacceptable!! Made new appointment for tues april 30. Again no call no show. Finally after speaking with ins and getting another company to do the window gecko wants to call. What happened to 8-3 its now after 4. I'll never use these ppl again they have wasted 2 days of my time. read more

My car dealer service department pointed out a crack in my windshield that I had not attended to yet and said they could make the arrangements with a secondary source for glass replacement. Well sure, no problem. Gecko Glass called me right away to arrange a date and we agreed to meet at the dealer on the following day. Although I think just about any glass dealer can courteously install glass, this is the first time that I did not have a wavy gob of excess glue showing at the inside of the A-Pillar. Just had my front windshield replaced by Gecko this morning, and they actually arrived before my scheduled time(a good thing, since I had to work later today). Fred was very professional and courteous, and took the time to explain replacement, sensor check on my rear view mirror-I have a BMW and did not realize the sensor detects rain and motions the wipers to come on. Replacement was completed within an hour as promised, and technicians FRED and CJ made sure to explain that I shouldn't wash my car/slam the door(s)/when to remove surface tape, etc. I work in the service industry, and was very impressed by how friendly,polite and efficient both technicians were!!! Would definitely recommend this company to friends and family(even though referral was done and covered by my insurance company). read more

Gecko Glass was recommended by my service adviser at Camelback Volkswagen to replace the windshield on my 2015 GTI. My first conversation with one of the ladies in Gecko's office was great, and they worked directly with my insurance company quickly to get set up to do the repairs and bill them directly. They came out, on time, replaced the windshield, and I had no issues at all. They even had the windshield tinted before it was installed, so I didn't even have to mess with getting that re-done - that is AWESOME. Three days later, my windshield gets cracked by rocks on our lovely highways again..just bad luck. File another claim, set it up with Gecko again. This time, they sent Fred & CJ out, who were early, knocked it out in thirty minutes, and were just as efficient and polite as the first two dudes that came and did it, again - with the windshield already tinted and ready to go. I work in the insurance industry as an auto claims adjuster and can truly vouch for the fact that this company is great at what they do - I could not ask for more, even after being irritated by the bad luck of needing their services twice within a week. After the windshield was put in the tech told what perfect condition the car was in accept the deep scratch (down to the metal) on the hood. I told him that I did not think it was there prior. He said he knew it was because he took a picture beforehand and it was there (he did not show me the picture and like a dummy, I did not ask to see it). I immediately called the office and asked them to send me the picture and a time stamp of when the tech took the picture. The manager (Steve) called me back and refused to send me the photo. Steve said I am trying to help you. I said: "send me the picture." He said the photo was taken from too far away you could only see a couple of black specs. I said send it to me, and he refused! Told me to call the dealership that sent him out to replace my windshield(which is another whole story. If I can see spots in the techs picture in that location on the hood, I will drop the entire thing read more

I had Gecko Glass replace my windshield in my 4Runner. I really wanted the OEM glass which of course all insurance companies refuse to give. I expressed my concerns to the company that I have never had a good experience with replacement glass in any vehicle ( I wait until it is completely necessary to replace because I always hear an air sound after replacement). So I went with them because they were recommended by my insurance company. So I will start with positives: friendly, easy to deal with, on time to replace...but then the tech left my door unlocked to my vehicle in a school parking lot ( would never do this myself) and....I hear air just like the other replacements, didn't really hear it until I sat in the passenger seat. So, that is I would say 5 for 5 replacements in various vehicles that have given me the air sound. This technique must be hard to perfect to manufacturers' specifications. Never once have I experienced my windshield to be the same after the original is replaced. read more

Gecko was recommended by our Lexus dealership. They arrived at our home on Saturday, two unfriendly boys in an unmarked truck. They opened their doors with music blaring while they installed in our quiet neighborhood at 9am Saturday, very unprofessional. After they left, a sensor on our windshield fell off near the mirror. They had put it up with cheap white two-sided tape, a small strip with gaps on both sides. They also did not scrape off the old glue so it was very uneven. I called but had to wait and have them return at my business on Monday. It was the same two boys and they used the same white cheap tape, one small strip with gaps showing on both sides...it fell down again in a couple of hours. The same unfriendliness was exhibited by both boys. I called again, they said they did not install sensors on windshields normally so they would have to order the proper black tape from the internet and would call in 4-5 days. On Thursday I called them. The tape was in so they would have the boys out to our business Friday. The same two unfriendly boys, the same cheap white tape in hand so I told them not again. I called and the lady told me the boys were supposed to have picked up the proper tape before coming to my location. I called to complain to Safellite Glass, they were paying the bill to Gecko. However, I was meeting resistance and cover up from Gecko to Safellite. Geckos position to Safellite was that our sensor was after market and not normally covered. This was not true, this sensor came from the dealer new. In any case, if you have an after market sensor, you must be out of luck with Gecko. I finally returned to the dealer who had to mount the sensor after 1 week and multiple calls and having to deal with these two unprofessional boys. The dealer told me Steve was out all week or this would not have happened. I can only tell you that there are a lot of glass companies in Phoenix and I would not use Gecko again, especially these two rude and unprofessional boys that were sent out each trip. read more

Super poor installation, customer service, and questionable integrity. Let me tell you my experience. We had a 2017 Honda CRV with a cracked windshield. We consulted with Honda and they suggested we contact Gecko Glass in Chandler Arizona. The installation was completed on January 20, 2018 for $1000.00. Less than 30 days later, we noticed a hairline crack perpendicular to the lower base of the windshield. After several family members inspected the crack, no one could find a chip or point of impact that caused the crack. We were convinced this was a stress crack from a poorly installed windshield. We called Gecko Glass and they sent out the same installer. The installer inspected the windshield, before announcing his arrival. Mmmm. I asked him why he did not contact me before he approached my car?..no answer. He just said, "I was not going to like him". He miraculously found a small chip underneath the windshield wiper that caused the crack. The chip that several of my family members could not see. I was angry and stated that chip was not there before his inspection! After contacting the glass company owner, he rejected my claim. I have shared my experience with Honda and followed up with my insurance company. Never again!! read more

I called Ford directly to get my windshield replaced, only thing was I needed it done early the next day at the latest before I left town. They forwarded me to Gecko and I must say that they were absolutely amazing. From the moment I was on the phone with the office lady (Leslie I believe? Forgive me I'm terrible with names.) it was nothing but great. She was so helpful and was able to squeeze me in early afternoon and have them come to my house, to my surprise they were here just like she said. Not only that but she had my windshield tinted across the top before they arrived as mine was done before, that way I wouldn't have to worry about getting it done when I got back in town. The two guys that showed up were super friendly and had my new windshield in within a half a hour. This was so painless all I had to do was sign a paper stating they did the work when they were finished. They handled the rest with my insurance company and all. Let me also say I talked to them the night before around 6pm and by mid afternoon the next day it was finished.
