He weeded, removed old plants with large root balls, planted new plants and mulched. The work was challenging due to the grade of the slope and the ground was hard with roots and rocks. I was impressed that despite this, Andy took care to dig deep enough holes for the plant material, used fertilizer and soil to ensure their best success. He was patient with changes we made to the original scope of work and was professional, knowledgeable, polite and wonderful to work with. From the time we first spoke on the phone, Andy communicated with me regularly, stood by the timeframe he commited to, started early every morning and worked very hard. It is rare to find someone with Andy's knowledge and work ethic and I recommend him highly.

He also pulled out some bushes and put down some top soil for me to get some areas ready for new planting. He was very responsive through phone calls and texts to figure out what I was looking to have done and came out to look at the areas prior to quoting. His quote was a fare price and the work he did was great. He was right on time when he said he was going to be there and took his time doing the work. You could tell he had pride in what he was doing and wanted me to be happy when he was finished. I would recommend Shane and his company for all of your clearing, grading, landscaping, etc. needs.

We can't think of a single way we could be more pleased with the work Grand Scapes has done for us!…read more We began with a back yard desperately in need of a vision, and ended up with a gorgeous 24 foot semi-in ground pool with rock surround, graded and cleared space, muddy banks replaced with mulch and gravel, and a yard that was a major pain to mow, made much nicer with gravel edging and beds. We chose Grand Scapes because we were looking for more than just someone to plant shrubs--we needed someone to offer us a vision for our property and do it as a turn-key project, which is exactly what Richard, Doug, and Pepé did. Besides doing a fantastic job of landscaping, they were so quiet we didn't know they were on the place, and they cleaned up perfectly after themselves all the way. We would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, honest, skilled landscape design and installation. These guys had all the equipment, skillls, and resources needed to do a great job, and we didn't have to lift a finger. We even felt great leaving the project in their hands while we took a week's vacation out of state. Oh, and the pool they installed for us was at a fraction of the price for most in-ground pools and looks absolutely wonderful!

James River Equipment was our answer and they've opened a store in Newton! Purchased our first subcompact tractor from Tim Conn. we had stopped in one day not realizing they had not opened yet. Mr. Tim took his time and showed us the tractor we believed would be a good fit for the size of property and what we needed from it. When they finally did open, we were in there buying the little tractor and implements. We've had to work with Mr. Larry and the other young man for bits and pieces at the parts counter. I can honestly say, they don't turn their backs because you're a female. You don't need to walk in with a male to buy a tractor or get parts. We were actually treated with far more respect than a lot of the auto dealers in the county. JRE in Newton has gone the extra mile in customer service, honesty and integrity from the Store Manager (Tim Conn) to the parts/sales desk on out to the mechanics. It's amazing a business would be so respectful and honest. We are enjoying our new little tractor very much, thanks to the employees at JRE Newton. They work extremely well as a team. If you're in the market for a new tractor, mower, or Gator...give them a visit and tell them I sent you :)
