This is an annual gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered film festival that Dublin holds. This year was it's 17th time to be held. It ran from the 30th July-3rd August, it tends to run the same dates each year.
If you missed it this year, pencil it into your diary for next year. Absolutely wonderful festival, the calibre of the films are always great and this year was no exception.
You can buy a festival ticket which depending on the type entitles you to catch several films before a certain time.
What was the highlight for me was the film Prodigal Sons, with out doubt one of the best documentaries that I have ever seen, and certainly one of the best pieces of film that I have seen so far in 2008. The biggest treat was having the extremely articulate director, Kimberly Reed field questions at the end.
It's a great reflection on the festival organisers that they managed to get award winning films at the festival and also getting directors to meet and talk about their work.
Do not let it pass you by next year. read more
