Just got back from Gatley cuisine. I'm very full indeed and will no doubt sleep like a baby. With only 54 covers the restaurant is not the most spacious you'll ever go to. It can I suppose be described as intimate. None the less I am here to report the food was very nice indeed.
The staff despite being only a handful of them were very accomodating and we even had a visit from the chef to ask us how we enjoyed the food which was a nice touch. There were 6 of us and we all had a starter and a mains each with plentiful supply of poppadoms and drinks and the bill came to £14 each which I thought was very reasonable. I tried the seekh as a starter and Lamb tikka as the main. The seekh was cooked very nicely and the meat was tender however I felt it hadn't been seasoned properly and it was lacking a bit of kick. THe lamb tikka was very delicious indeed.
Although this is a popular for locals I recommend it highly indeed if you are on you way back to Manchester from the south and come off at the motorway and are traveling along the A34 towards Didsbury. It's late at night and you're wondering where can I get a bite to eat there must be somewhere. Well look no further folks, whip out your phone click on your trustworthy Yelp app, click nearby and hey presto there it is Gatley cuisine. If you are reading this as you're doing this stop you naughty pull over and get directions on you phone or satnav. You really can't miss it, it is on Northenden road past the Gatley train station, it has the take away adjacent to it so it's a double whammy.
