For my money, this cleaners is one of the best I've ever experienced. I came to this cleaners about three months ago based on yelp reviews rating it number one. I figured all those reviews couldn't be wrong so I decided to check them out. I took my black wool suit here and a black dress shirt. Both Calvin Klein and both slim fit. When I picked them up they both looked newly purchased. I kid you not. And if that wasn't enough, the next time I brought some slacks that had a button missing on the pocket and part of the hem had come loose. Not only did they beautifully clean the slacks, they replaced the pocket button and hemmed the pants for no extra charge. Wow, that is customer service if I've ever seen. I will definitely be going back as long as his cleaners is in business. For my money there isn't a better one. read more

Terrible service. Been going here for 5 years. The service has declined. My husband shirts always pressed to perfection. But the collars and cuffs has the same dirt when he dropped them off. I had to have my jackets sent back still not cleaned and now a fur blanket stains and smell still when we picked up. Had my husband bring it back only to be told well we tried. Never mentioned the stains was still there when he picked it upandpaid. It still had the same smell that we sent it in to be cleaned for. Its called cleaners not " We tried and charge overprice cleaners. Then we dropped off also two second hand jackets and we all know the thrift store smell. My husband picked them up eventhough, I told him to check them before leaving but he didn't and guess what pressed but still the thrift shop smell. I'm not going back and they just lost monthly business. We didn't mind the cost as long as your doing your job. But now just overpriced non work no longer cuts it!!!! read more

I decided to trust this place with some of my prized vintage clothes. They were able to remove a small stain from a sweater, clean the sad armpits of a 50s dress (the other stains on the dress weren't able to come out), but the most miraculous was the complete removal of storage stains on the chiffon skirt of a 50s dress (chiffon skirt and satin sequin bodice). I had worn the dress for NYE a few years before and spilled champagne on the skirt (as one does on NYE) and over the years the spillage turned into horrid dark stains in multiple areas of the skirt. I took the dress here and for $30 they made it look LIKE NEW again. read more

Please DO NOT go here! When I went to pick up my clothing and counted my items and notice one shirt is missing. I ask them about this and they say "oh yeah one of your shirts was damaged when you brought it in so we couldn't clean it". My shirt was not damaged BTW. They bring out the shirt and it has a HUGE rip in the sleeve and I tell them there is no way I brought the shirt in like that and you can tell their machines ripped it. After going back and forth they finally admit to damaging my $60 dress shirt and ask me what I want to do about it. I told them I was not going to pay for my $40 bill, which still put me back $20 for the damaged shirt. Then later in the week when I go to get dressed I see another shirt ripped!!!!! I was pissed..... Too pissed to even go back and complain. This was my first and last time going here. Do yourself a favor and find another place to clean your clothing. read more

Haven't been here in a long while and unfortunately I can say I will never take another strand of thread here again for service. Took a black and white cocktail dress here for service and it was ruined due to color fade. I just assumed (incorrectly obviously) that if they were unsure if the colors would bleed that they would spot test before completely ruining an item. Since moving to the area from San Francisco I needed to find a new dry cleaners. I noticed this location was voted " best of solano county". I had a coffee stain on a dress, the first attempt they could not take it out, so they tried again and still it was not completely removed, instead they shrunk my dress! I come here all the time. For custom tailoring and dry cleaning. Prices are very fair, but what stands out the most is just the small family service you receive which is unparalleled to any other. I needed to get a jacket extensively tailored in three days for an event. They did it in two days with no problems. No other tailor would get something done like that so quickly. Brought my dress in to be hemmed and dry cleaned on a Friday. The lady could not give me an estimate and said that I would get a call Monday or Tuesday after the seamstress comes in. Well on Monday the same lady calls me and tells me that it will be 83.00 because the seamstress said it was hard. I told the lady that I would pick it up then and have another opinion. She then asked me why would I bring it someplace else? I told her I just needed another opinion. We went back and forth for a minute and then she hung up in my face! What good business practice she has. It gets better. I then come to pick up my dress and her husband is now standing in the corner as I walked in with his arms crossed watching me.I was never rude not once. Then she picks my dress off the rack behind her, letting the bottom of the dress drag on the ground and steps on it, saying oops. She removes the hanger and hands me the dress. I am thinking to myself, please tell me I just did not see this! I knew I was definitely going straight home to write this after I took care of my dress situation. I went to another cleaners by Raleys..the one voted best cleaners of Solano County. Cant remember if it was 2015,2016 or both. They pinned my dress at the location I wanted within 5 minutes and told me that the price was 25.00 for the hem and dry cleaning! WOW.. what a huge difference in price and Gateway cleaners is such a big RIPOFF! As long as Gateway can rip you off they will. I think 1 star is too much of a compliment. Poor service, poor attitude, poor business practices. Never will I do business there, again. Oh...strange thing.When I first came in she was asking me questions about if I happened to be a firefighter or if my husband was a firefighter???? I don't think my occupation should have anything to do with the level of service or how I am treated but apparently from what I've seen it does and everyone should be treated the same and that is definitely not the case here. I will never ever take anything to this cleaners for alterations or to be cleaned. My daughter's prom dress was ruined by them just before prom. The color was faded, the hem was uneven, the side was taken in without permission from the last fitting and the dress began to twist. They had the audacity to try and charge me $77 dollars for ruining a dress and causing me to have to go search for a new prom dress at the last minute. From this experience, I would never take my yard working clothes to them. read more
