Loaded nachos

I had a great experience at Gateway Bar and Grill. Our server was so nice! The loaded nachos did not disappoint. The nachos themselves are like deep fried flour tortillas. So yummy that I stuffed myself to the gills!

Service was amazing, food was great. Convenient location. Happy with Friday fish fry up north to say the least.

This is the fierce dog they wouldn't allow on the patio.

We stopped because the location was convienent and they had a large outdoor patio. We we were traveling with our small dog and thought we could take her to avoid keeping her in a hot car. Sadly, they are not progressive enough to allow leashed dogs on the patio. NOT PET FRIENDLY. To be fair they do have postings indicating no pets allowed. I just did not see the sign. However, my dog is quieter than a lot of people's kids that were there. We were vanquished to picnic tables at the edge of the parking lot, near the horseshoe pits. This turned out to be okay because it was such a nice day with a breeze. We placed our order inside and the waitress delivered it to our picnic table. The order came quickly. Husband had their version of a Greek salad - which looked like my side salad except it had feta cheese in it (no olives, ancho is or peppers). Both salads were of a good size. I had a grilled cheese and ham sandwich. It was okay except the lunch meat used was not dry when they made the sandwich so the toasted bread was soggy on one side. Sandwich was served with coleslaw. My husband also had tomato soup which he said was okay. Total bill was about $29 without any drinks - we brought our own to our picnic! SUGGESTION: Designate the small back portion of your patio, facing the parking lot as pet friendly. Might stop again for a drink ( w/o the killer dog) but would not go out of my way for their food.

What even is this place? I walked into a nostalgic wonderland of vinyl records, a jukebox, buckets…read morefull of giant dice, walls of vintage beer cans, a mini Ms. PacMan game, a Ray Charles image in the window, a plastic reindeer suspended on the ceiling and lots more tchotchkes and pop culture ephemera. I loved Bridge Up Brewing even before I tasted their beer. This is a little local Wisconsin brewery located on the basement-level of the building that houses Sonny's Italian Kitchen. When you walk into the lobby, instead of walking up the steps to Sonny's, take the ramp down below to Bridge Up and enjoy a beer or a flight of beers. They have a small menu of appetizers, mostly wings and fried things, but if you want a full meal, you should probably go upstairs to Sonny's. I didn't want a full meal, so I stayed at Bridge Up and ordered a flight of beers. One of them was a sour (I love sours), and the others were some of the more popular beer flavors. I picked the U-Pick, which is a flavored with Door County cherries, and was one of my favorites. The others were the higher ABV beers: Flip Flops and Bikini Tops (an imperial IPA) and Stubborn Sturgeon (a New England hazy IPA). I loved all of the beers I chose, but the cherry-flavored U-Pick was my favorite. When in Door County, always choose the cherry-flavored thing! If Bridge Up has U-Pick available when you visit, I highly suggest trying it. The people who work here are very friendly but also stay out of your way, which I appreciated. They encourage you to play something on the jukebox, so go ahead and put on your favorite songs.

Nice brewery offering craft beers along with a nice selection of appetizers and wingsread more
