I always find a treasure when I visit this store. I like that they display the antiques in a cleaner way than the other stores in the area and the items have descriptions. It feels less cluttered and makes for an easier shopping experience. Many of the items are true antiques and I especially love the wonderful vintage cookware and utensils, like seasoned cast iron pans, etc. read more

Perfectly fine antique mall, with some booths having more interesting items than others... but we put back whatever we would have bought when we saw a case with Nazi and Hitler memorabilia. It's not the first time I've seen something like this, but it's always insulting and hurtful. I spoke to the woman up front, and I was gratified that she said, "I know, isn't it awful? Some people like to collect that stuff." I thanked her and asked her to pass along our feelings to the owner. Give these items to a museum, or -- if you're in dire enough straits that you need to sell them -- do it online where the rest of us don't have to be assaulted by it. read more

We visited this cute shop in Dahlonega yesterday - wonderful friendly ladiess working there. We had my wife'd emotional support dogs wiith us. They ride in a wagon because they are smaller dogs. The ladies welcomed us to the shop and treated us with such kindness. They loved my wifes pups and so did several of the other customers. We found several items we purchased... some antique and some not. We had a great time in the store browsing all the neat stuff. I purchased a very old penny gumball machine. At first they were unable to locate the key but after a bit of hunting it was found. My wife found a nice purse and a couple other items as well. Thank you to the wonderful ladies for your hospitalty anfd your kindness. We'll come visit again when we head back to that area. read more

I went to go look around and enjoyed a fun time exploring the booths and seeing the unique items. This is a very good stop for obscure item searching, such as a branded coke radio. read more

Ah, Dahlonega! This has to be everyone's idea of the most perfect Christmas setting ever. And it truly is! There's something for every interest. Shops galore and a terrific assortment of excellent restaurants for every budget. If antiquing is your thing, you won't be disappointed. The very best selection can be found at Gateway Antique Mall. For the most part the store is clean and well organized. There's plenty of aisle space, so you never feel closed in. And the prices are ridiculously reasonable. All good. Sadly, sooner or later you're going to have to pay the piper, or in this case, the gal at the register. And that's when you realize that Dahlonega really Is a Christmas Wonderland, complete with its very own Grinch, a woman who can suck the last single drop of Christmas cheer out of the souls of even the Sugarplum Faeries. I had braved her wrath the first day, so I thought, "I can do this again. Sure she's a meanie and gruff, but hey, they can't all be Pollyanna." Mistake. If your first experience here hasn't left you with the feeling that there just isn't enough Wassail in all of the town's pubs to get you out of your funk, please do yourself a favor and Quit While You're Ahead." The woman is all the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future rolled into one, with just the tiniest soupçon of Cruella de Vil. Fair warning. But hey, Merry Christmas! read more

I really liked this antique mall. I've never been to an antique mall before, but I have been to several antique stores. This place paled in comparison to any other antique store I've visited. For starters, it's huge and very clean. Oh, and it's sans grandma back of the closet mothball musty. For someone who is sensitive to stank, that is major! If you visit the Gateway Antique Mall you will definitely feel like you took a trip down memory lane. Granted there is some very questionable and possibly offensive items dealing with America's ugly history of Jim Crow, and the like, but the items in here are great to see for anyone over the age of 30. I'd highly recommend you take the drive and visit this antique mall in the square of Dahlonega. read more

Enjoyed Dahlonega and the shops. Everyone was very nice and an easy walk. Which since the parking is scarce is good.

I really liked this antique shop! The place, though obviously very cluttered, seemed organized based off of certain items and it appeared to be pretty clean. On the outside, this place looks small but once you walk in, it's like an endless maze full of goodies! I ended up getting two things: a beautiful silver necklace (my boyfriend bought it for me) and a GORGEOUS vintage mink fur-trimmed 50's swing coat for $80. Minus the white mink turning a bit yellow, the rest of it was impeccable and was a STEAL for $80 - especially considering I plan on getting it professionally cleaned soon, so as to restore the mink to its former glory. The coat itself is extremely warm and with it being solid black and the mink a pure white, it really is beyond beautiful. I am now needing to find a furrier in the Cumming area, so message me people if you know of one! Anyway, I definitely plan on going back next time I visit Dahlonega. This antique gem-of-a-store is located across the street from other cute stores as well as great eatery places, so walking up and down the boardwalks with your partner actually makes for a very cute date. OOPS!, YOU MISSED IT! This is a cute little antique store located in downtown Dahlonega. I really appreciate this store for what it is: an authentic antique shop and not just a shop for people unloading junk. The store is divided into stalls and rooms and their is a huge selection of items from every era and or every purpose, furniture from the Civil War era, a beautiful lace wedding dress from 1841, old photos, kitchen gadgets, jewelry, cameras and other odds and ends Unfortunately the one item that I was interested in purchasing was not labeled and the vendor selling the item was not readily available. Today, she probably missed out on a sale because I was too busy shopping to call back and there was no way that I was going to wade through that monstrous sea of people to locate this shop. Merchants need to make sure that all of their items are clearly marked and ready for sale at all times, otherwise they miss out. Maybe next time. I would highly recommend this shop because of the large volume of historical items carried and the wonderfully helpful staff that are frequently floating around offering assistance. I will definitely be stopping in during future visits to the area. read more

This shop is AMAZING! Not only have they been awarded the Readers Choice Award for Best Antique Store in Dahlonega by The Dahlonega Nugget since 2009, you can tell that they work hard for that title. They are constantly changing their stock while maintaining a policy of selling true antiques. And in a store as large as theirs, that is no easy feat. It may look small from the front, but it is amazingly large on the inside with two extra floors of treasure! The staff is always friendly and helpful, greeting every one that enters their store with a smile, and inviting their customers back to visit them again. They'll stop what they're doing to gladly open a case, or help you find something. They have even helped me find my way around town! Taking the time to provide a map and competent directions to various local points of interest! The other great thing about this store is that they are consistently open later than most of the other stores in town! So don't be afraid to stop by and see if they are open, cause they probably are! And take your time hunting through all the treasure too. Unlike other stores, I have never been kicked out or felt rushed in my shopping. The staff is more than willing to wait for the customer to finish at their own pace! All in all, I can spend hours in this place (And usually do.) just enjoying the thrill of the hunt. And I never know what I'll find, but I never leave empty handed. read more
