Anfangs eine gut bürgerliche Lokalität, wurde die Qualität der Gaststätte mit der Zeit immer schlechter. Vor Mitte der 70er Jahre übernahmen Reiner und Ernie die "Ubierschänke" und machten aus ihr eine der damals beliebtesten Szenekneipen der Kölner Südstadt. Während im Stollwerk der Hauskampf tobte, kümmerte sich Reiner vor allem um Jazzmusik und Liveauftritte. Well, maybe it is just something strange with Dusseldorf, even though the two bigger cities that I visited didn't anywhere near as many Irish pubs as did Dusseldorf. Well, maybe it has something to do with the lack of things to do in Dusseldorf so everybody goes out to the pubs. Anyway, this is another nice Irish pub, but since I have already visited our others, it was difficult to distinguish it from the others. Personally I liked it, but that had something to do with it being quiet.
