Tucked away in a more residential area, Kaisersaal is described by the locals as home-style German food. A warning for the less intrepid (though I'm not sure a lot English-only speaking tourists are visiting Minden), the hostess/waitress barely speaks English and the menu is entirely in German. But that's supposed to be part of the charm of international travel, right? And while in Germany, dine like the Germans and get mayo with your frites. This is not the same mayo out of the jar you get in the US; however it's made in Europe it's much tastier and it works. The food is tasty, the service is friendly, but remember to bring your Euros, it's cash only.
