Not that it really looks like a castle, more like a square shaped farm - but a very large one then. On your left, you can glimpse the 'new' castle, dating to the 1st quarter of the 18th century and built in the style of Versailles with large symmetric gardens behind it. Both old and new castle house museums. And the old one also houses in a lost corner - or so it seems - this typical pub. A nice beergarden in good weather - a bit too busy on weekends with the usual fare, but of good quality.

The owner is a very nice man who is almost always there working very hard. Occasionally his wife is there working with him too. A friend once left her scarf there and he saved it for me to return to her. The food is excellent!!! I've never had a bad meal. Maybe a sloppily dressed salad once but it still tasted good. Only thing I wish they had mashed potatoes instead of just the house fried potatoes or spaetzle The interior is especially pretty during the holidays when it is decorated. A small outdoor seating area is available in the summer.
