(We thought it was a Greek restaurant at first sighting since the building is painted in crisp white and Bavaria flag blue. It's not: It's very GERMAN.) Inside it's all dark wood and bar-like with old fotos of VierlandAn authentic old-fashioned German bar / restaurant. The outdoor terrace on these long summer nights is a plus, as long as the wind isn't blowing in the wrong direction: This is the countryside and there are cows out here, if you know what I mean. There's one terrace facing the street where you can watch the fancy motorcycles drive by on sunny weekends and I think there's a garden out back, overlooking the Gose Elbe River but I haven't checked it out yet. The owner does his best to make everyone feel at home. For example, he recently bought a huge flat screen TV, just in time for viewing the Euro 2008 games. Another time, he let us borrow a corner of the fridge to store some groceries while we were having dinner. One warning though - I doubt you'll find anyone here that speaks English.

Bei uns tauschen die Gäste das Großstadtambiente gegen eine ländliche Idylle. Neben der 120 Plätze fassenden Terrasse fasst der Gastraum Platz für bis zu 50 Leute. We had a wonderful time! Inside, lots of memorabilia. And if you need to take a nap after it is also a hotel. We recommend!
