The views from two of the sides of the restaurant, as well as the season terrace are excellent and offer a view of the Lenne river and the town's promenade along it. The restaurant's menu features a regional Greek cuisine along the lines of lamb, souvlaki, feta and fish. I had an excellent tomato soup and lamb shank dish, the later of which came with a side of fresh vegetables. The service was incredibly polite, attentive, and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Altena.

This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful section of town. Generally speaking the room was adequate…read morealthough having two single beds was a bit weird. As is common in most European hotels breakfast is included which was very nice and comfortable. The previous night I had dinner in the restaurant, the food was good. The only negative comment that I can think of is that communication was difficult since I am unable to speak German and the staff could not speak English.
