And, lo and behold, the staff is very very friendly for Munich standards. Located in the Westend neighborhood, near the stations of Heimeranplatz and Donnersberger Brücke, the Bürgerheim has managed to keep a good balance of keeping their prices low and their quality high. The Schweinebraten is one of the best in Munich and they serve the one and only Augustiner beer. Also a reminder of times long past, the Bürgerheim has a big backroom to rent, which is often populated by birthday partiers or football fans watching their team together. As is usual with Munich service, we had to flag down a server to take our orders (just beer and wine) and then do the same to pay the check later. It's a nice restaurant with comfortable seating. They have some windows that open nice and wide to get the fresh air in. [Review 12043 overall, 1826 of 2019.]
