Amazing family hotel at the top of Old Town Bad Gastein; just a few minutes walk (about 5) from the…read moretrain station. The owner, Doris, is an amazing hostess. She took care of our every need and had great advice for amazing places to eat. The morning breakfast buffet is really nice as well. It's an Austria continental smorgasbord with cold meats, cheese, amazing coffee, and of course mouthwatering rolls with all the toppings you could want. We left more than full each morning; which was needed considering all the hills and stairs we climbed going up and down to the old village.
Bad Gastein is a wonderful, quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of tourist laden European cities. What a wonderful village, inn, and relaxing getaway.
