Yet, after over 22 years in a very difficult marriage and extreme unhappiness I knew that I needed professional help that could help me get clarity. It was with trepidation that I entered his office, and I immediately realized that Dr. Monkarsh was professional, an excellent listener, genuine, compassionate and yet straight-forward in a gentle manner. He asked me open-ended questions, without judgment, that made me think of my situation and how I could solve challenges. Because I am a task-oriented individual, he gave me weekly assignments and we picked up from there each session. It was not easy to do the soul-searching and face hard areas of my life, but he never gave up on me and he genuinely cared. I've been seeing Dr. Gary Monkarsh for my ADHD. He diagnosed me within the first two months of therapy.
