I had to stay here for some business this week and had a great experience. The assistant manager picked me up from uptown in the shuttle and even offered to pick me up from an engagement after dark so I wouldn't be walking all by myself at night 2 miles. Dinner was good, the chef was running back and forth and had tons of orders, but I got my food super quick. The sauna was nice, could use a hose down, but overall.......Great place to stay! read more

I stayed at Comfort Inn Butte in September. It was a nice clean hotel but given what happened that night I will not be returning. At 10:10 pm a man opened my door. I am thankful I had the extra latch across door so he could not walk into room. He should be thankful too because my dog is extremely protective. The man stood there and told me the room was marked as vacant and I would need to go to front desk. I told him I am not going anywhere! Then the room phone rang. It was front desk. The lady said room vacant. I told her I was given the key with room number on it. She asked my name and said she would update the system. We got absolutely no sleep after that experience. I got no apologies at all. I emailed the hotel and received no response. I will not stay there again! read more

Stopped in at midnight to get a few hours rest before continuing our roadtrip. Got in our room and it smelled terrible, soon realized the floor was covered in carpet powder. Had to be moved rooms. No compensation. Last thing you want when you only have a few hours to get some rest with 4 little kids. read more

Back story first. 2 nights ago I spent a night in a small city in California. 2 hotels with many differences. Both ladies at the front desk were very nice and inviting...it ends there. In California I was charged $14 to park my car ( same parking lot as here), I found that out when I checked out. No money grab here in Butte. Rooms similar size and amenities. More differences. Premium soaps, shampoo etc. CA hotel bottles empty in shower, not here in Butte. Both hotels have single serve coffee with premium coffee. No cups in room in CA. Both rooms have large flat screen TV. Great, channels would not load on Tv in CA, they could not fix. Great TV here. The hotel in CA had picture of founder talking about family, friends, and hospitality. Ha! You want hospitality--drop in and visit Montana. read more

We stayed there twice. Two nights on our way to Yellowstone and 1 night on our way home. We've been happy with our stays at the Comfort Inn hotels. This time a bit less happy. Sorry to say I completely forgot to tell the manager both times. Housekeeping did not do a good job of vacuuming the rug. Both times we stopped there.. And the housekeeping didn't even pick up the garbage off the floor. We will stay at Comfort Inns as we normally are very satisfied! The second time one of the clerks was not rude, just not real personable. Just doing her job. We always look for Comfort Inns because we don't have problems. read more

First, the good: The room was clean and the bed comfortable enough. The location is decent, right off the freeway and within easy walking distance of restaurants and convenience stores. We even walked to a Supermarket (Safeway) about ¾ of a mile away. The front desk staff was very friendly and the lobby is clean and bright. The down side: The neighborhood is kind of dodgy, though that's not too much of a worry as the parking lot is well-lit. It was noisy -- very noisy -- in the hallway; I could hear people coming and going all night. The oddest thing, though, is that they hotel has been added onto and it's just a kluged-up mess to get anywhere. We could see our car from our room, but finding the stairway to get down there was like trying to get out of an escape room. Worst of all is, that was a fire exit! There's an EXIT sign placed randomly on the wall in the hallway, but if anyone were trying to find where the actual exit was in an emergency, they'd be screwed. All in all, an OK hotel, but certainly not worth the $200 a night they're gouging people for in order to exploit the post-covid travel boom. read more

Let me start with what went well. We had a place to bed down for the night that was safe and secure. To add to that, the bed was big and all the linens were fresh. Now onto what didn't go so well...as we waited to be checked in at the front desk, there were two gentlemen behind the counter. Not sure why, but only one could provide any kind of service while the other guy just stood there with no purpose. The one single elevator in the hotel was oddly located at a random far end of the hotel, nowhere near the front entrance. It was a puzzle just getting to the elevator because you have to go through separate stairwells and through several doors just to get to it. Once you make it to the elevator, you're overwhelmed by a foul stench of what could possibly be a flood that never dried up or is still drying up in the carpeted floor. Both of the available dryers in the laundry room were out of order. Each floor is divided into two sections so your room could be on the complete other end of the second or third floor which means you have to go through a series of doors and stairwells just to figure that out. We finally make it to the room and we find a random croc that was left behind underneath the bed. I could spot it without even having to get down on my hands and knees so that goes to show the lack of attention to detail by the cleaning staff. Not to mention, there was pink silly putty on the wall that was coming off just from swiping my finger through it. Lastly, the refrigerator and the A/C did nothing to cool the drinks and the room. read more

It's nice no frills hotel close to the interstate and right off the exit the best thing is it's close to a lot of business's it's next to the only Chinese buffet into and a little slot casino. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by Anna. She did a phenomenal job of making me feel like a valued guest, as she explained all of the amenities of the property. My room is quiet, comfortable, and the parking situation here (in April) is pretty great currently. The hotel is not brand new, but it is clean and well maintained, and I feel very safe here. I've stayed in a lot of hotels. A lot. Most have been pretty good, some exceptional, some poor and then there have been a few in the Comfort Inn of Butte category. Think of this highway hovel as the Fawlty Towers of the Rockies. After a horrific stay earlier the same week at a Comfort Inn north of Pittsburgh off I-80 I should have known better; yet exhaustion coupled with a need for sleep following an endless day of driving wasn't enough to overcome the extent of awfulness at this tired tacky temple of throughway lodging. First off, they graciously gave me at the reduced rate of $99 at my 11pm arrival time. It was almost as though I was lucky to get a room. Lugging my stuff up to the room I'm getting a sinking feeling as I walk along the tired mildewed hallway. When I get to the room the key, of course, does not work. Back to the desk for another key. Back to the room: failure again. Back to the front desk where I tell them to give me another room or come back with me and open it themselves. I'm told the maintenance guy will meet me at the room. Five minutes later, ponytail maintenance guy comes and after some serious swiping, wiping and sliding finally giggles the door open. I'm in. My room was just what you'd expect to find in Butte at a '2 star' franchise chain hotel: In a word: tired. Too tired to obsess, I figure out the wifi which, remarkably, works. Searching for the tv remote, I can't find it anywhere; not on the bedside table, not on or around the tv; not in bedside drawer. I call the front desk and ponytail comes back up. He brings a remote. It doesn't work. He tries to program it. After a minute I kick him out of the room and decide to call it quits for the night; the effects of a full day of driving finally taking a toll. Pulling back the covers and sliding between the sheets, I find the remote. It's under the covers. Hmmm. Ick. The 'free breakfast' is free for a reason. I come, look and split. Find a diner, have a meal and move on. Lesson learned. You've been warned. read more

Checked in yesterday with my husband and received one room key. We really needed a second key as we had to do separate things. I asked the guy at the front desk if we could get a second key and we were informed that each room only gets one key. They said they only have a limited number of key cards because people keep stealing them. Per management, they don't want to run out of key cards so every room only gets one. That is ridiculous! How can we get in at separate times if we are coming and going? This is very inconvenient! read more

I totally get it if a hotel doesn't want cats but when I made a reservation and verified pet friendly they didn't say no cats. The room wasn't bad, but the pool and spa amenities closed too early to enjoy them and the outside hotel grounds were covered in pet waste. I was disgusted to walk my dog and had to wash her feet after. I'm not sure what the $20 pet fee is supposed to cover. Hotel management clearly do not have any pride in this location. read more

The only reason this property doesn't get 5 is because they are currently going through renovations. The property is a bit older, but the parts they have renovated are quite nice. My room was very spacious and appointed nicely, clean, comfortable and quiet. The front desk personnel were kind and efficient. read more

My husband & I were driving back to WA from the E Coast and stayed in Butte for one night. We had stayed at a few Comfort Inn's along the way and this one was not to the level of the others. They had signs that they were under construction and to excuse the mess. But the rooms were on the older side and definitely noisier than most. The wifi was free and the breakfast was as well although both were just 'okay'. read more

Have stayed at this location on several occasions. Always found it clean and comfortable. With the remodel and upgrading of the rooms it's even more so. The beds and linens are of the same quality I've found at "higher end/boutique" accommodations. The breakfast has a nice offering and was still being replenished at 15 minutes before shutting down. Did not take advantage of the pool, spa and fitness room. The new lobby is bright and welcoming with a nice business center area. They're pet friendly too!! Great accommodations for a great value. read more

The bed skirt was stained, the bottom mattress very dirty at the top, & the bathroom floor needed mopping. This was a disappointing stay. We have stayed at many Comfort Inns and have always had great luck. We are loyal Choice Rewards members. We arrived at about 10:00pm on a Saturday night and chose to spend the extra $30 on a room here instead of the Quality Inn. That was a mistake. The woman at the front desk was not welcoming and made it very clear that she did not have any interest in making sure our stay was comfortable. They also do not honor the Choice Privileges program here, so instead of a discount you get a candy bar! The hot-tub was not hot, and there were no towels in the pool area. Breakfast was not up to Comfort Inn standards. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. read more

I stayed here last night and cannot praise this hotel enough! The hotel was immaculate; and I am an 'obsessive compulsive' person about cleaning and disinfecting everything . The front desk clerk was the most courteous, professional and efficient young lady (as well as helpful and accommodating). They had something for dinner in the lobby as well as a breakfast. I'm not sure I could be any happier with this hotel. It has all the amenities that I expect from a modern hotel. The staff was unusually helpful, and despite the fact that the hotel is obviously older and in remodeling flux, it is clean and hotel maintenance staff are everywhere making sure the building is to standard. The pool area(s) are clean, modern and very well maintained. Wifi is free and the speed is sufficient. The breakfast was plentiful and again, unusually delicious. read more

Not super impressive from the outside but the rooms are amazing!!! Walk into a lobby with fresh cookies and very clean. The front desk gave my kids some toys and talked with them when I checked in and made me feel at home. Rooms were updated with new sheets, HDTV, and furniture. read more
