Well, I guess that is the case with quite a lot of stations, but the thing is that this is way out in the country, and if you are like me, and are just visiting, then if you miss the train then, well, you are sort of stuck here for the night (though there may be other options available). However, this station is fully staffed, and has some decent facilities as well, so I will give it credit for that.

Unfortunately this railway station, like pretty much all of the stations along this stretch of…read morerailway line, is no longer used. However, since it is heritage listed, it isn't going to be knocked down here, which is pretty cool because it is actually quite a charming railway station. It does look like it is in a bit of disrepair though, which is quite a shame, however, I suspect that it may be put to use for something else in the not to distant future.

This railway station was surprisingly new, though it could have actually been one of those stations…read morethat was built at a spot where the housing developments were slowly growing, but pushing up the price of nearby properties. However, as a station it was actually pretty nice, and easily accessible as well. Also, there were a number of facilities here as well, including being near a shopping centre.

Ok, it's a train station, not the most exciting thing in the world but this one gets a lot of…read morethings right. Good bicycle access without having to ride on the road, bicycle parking built right into the station buildings, no hard to cross busy roads around the station (the one that would be a problem is closed permanently to cars!), right next to a big park, only 400m from two different schools... the list goes on.

Well, it looks as if this station has had a bit of a makeover, even though I the last time I went…read morethrough here I really wasn't paying any attention whatsoever. Okay, it certainly isn't a major station, but it does happen to be far enough out so that the only trains that don't stop here happen to be the V-Line trains. I'm not only to necessarily say it is a great station, but it is practical, even if not the most accessible, in the sense that you still have to manually cross the tracks as opposed to crossing by a walkway.

This is actually quite a new station - sort of. There used to be a station here ages ago, back when…read morethe railway line when all the way up to Whittlesea, but as governments are prone to do, they decided to rip it up. Not surprisingly, they have since laid it back down again, and built some new stations, and this is one of them. Look, it certainly serves its purpose, and is also quite large, and even has some good facilities, something that many of the newer, and revamped, stations are taking on board. Yeah, this station certainly does work, and it is much better than others that I have encountered.

I wouldn't consider this station to be all that aesthetic, but then again, that certainly has a lot…read moreto do with it being one of those station that happened to have appeared on the scene when railway stations were more about function as opposed to form. The other thing was that this place wasn't staffed all that much, yet, the thing is that it still have facilities which I could use, so it certainly gets points for that.

This is sort of an end of the line station, though you sort of can go further, but that would…read morebasically be on a steam train that doesn't run all that often. Anyway, the station it self is quite charming, located in the centre of town, and even though it is one of those sixties style buildings, it is pretty accessible, and has decent facilities as well. Trains are reasonably regular, but being an end of the line station does indicate that they aren't as regular as some.

To return just retrace your steps. You can tap in and out at the end of the platform with your myki. This will save you walking up and around. Clean station with good facilities and is staffed. Good bus interchange to get where you need to go.
