Terrible customer service. The shop is very crowded and has little room for people to walk through - so much clutter everywhere. I went to search for a souvenir to bring home from my vacation to St George. When I walked into the store (a house really converted into a shop,) there was no one there, but the sign said "open" and so was the door. Music was playing. In every room and the halls too were filled with stuff for garden decor. I made a selection from the first room and then went to look for the shopkeeper, who was nowhere to be found, so I could pay and checkout. I had a bad feeling about the place and should have left before I did. I brushed against a metal art decoration (small butterfly on wall,) that must have been hanging loosely in the narrow hallway when I walked past it calling out for the shopkeeper. It hit the floor and the tail became bent slightly but was not broken. It could easily have been straightened. I picked it up and set it down. Finally the owner walked in from the back (garden?) after smoking a cigarette. He reeked of tobacco. He became incensed that I had done that, and demanded that I pay not only for my souvenir, I needed to also buy something else of equal value, to compensate him for the damaged butterfly. At that point I became frightened, because he was angry. I refused to purchase the item I had intended to buy and put it back. I did not want him having my contact information from my credit card. I reminded him twice that he could easily unbend the tail on the butterfly metal sculpture. It was not broken or beyond repair at all, and could easily have been repaired to as good as new. He was trying to take advantage of me, an out-of-towner. He then told me to "Get the F*&! out of my store, and don't ever come back!" Which I certainly do not intend to do ever again. He lost a potential sale and a customer. I wouldn't recommend him based on his terrible customer service skills, and how he handled this situation. read more
