Garden Grill is located at the lobby of the Hilton Cancun Airport. There's indoor or outdoor seating. Outside, tables are places in a courtyard next a flight of stairs to the pool area. Indoors, it's a simple, clean and spacious contemporary vibe with high ceilings.
The menu is fairly simple and consists of mostly Americanized items. It ranges from salads to ribeye, and burgers or pasta in between. There's a full bar right next to it for those who enjoy a cocktail or wine.
Service is slightly slow but very pleasant. The food came out at a good speed and we were pleasantly surprised.
I haven't had a club sandwich for years, so that's what I chose. It's a big triple decker with ham, a nicely grilled chicken breast, gooey cheese, lettuce & tomatoes but no bacon. It was delicious, but the fries were not the best. It was a generous portion.
The tagliatelle pasta was also good. It came with a couple pieces of toasted bread that's a bit on the hard side.
The kid ordered Mac & cheese from the kid's menu. She liked it but it didn't come with the bread crumbs stayed in the menu. I thought it was too cheesy for my taste.
Water will come in a bottle in Mexico, so there's a charge. You probably don't want to drink tap water here.
Our server Angel was a nice guy, fulfilled his duties with a smile. The prices, if I did the conversion rate correctly, is pretty reasonable.
Considering the Garden Grill is a hotel restaurant, it's actually a good choice for a meal. read more
