The market's natural perimeter is dotted with sit-down cafes if you prefer to have table service. Organized, good variety, good atmosphere. It is rare when a market that sells a lot of fish, does not reek of fish from a block away, so it is a very clean market and we saw evidence of constant clean-up. The atmosphere is lively and the energetic. We really enjoyed wandering through the market and sampling different foods while watching the local vendors at work. There are also several small restaurants and counter-style eateries where you can enjoy freshly prepared seafood, tapas, and traditional Catalan dishes. If you want a quieter experience, it's worth arriving earlier in the day before the crowds build up.
