While some of the…read moredifficulties we experienced may have been attributable to Renault corporate, the lack of communication and clear information that we were able to obtain from the dealer is the reason for this poor review. We went to the dealer in June to purchase a Renault Kangoo. We were interested in this particular van because of the price and more importantly, the features it offered. During the negotiations of the vehicle, we were told that delivery would be the third week of August. We received the registration in the mail at the end of July so we were hopeful that the vehicle would be delivered on time. That was misplaced. We followed up with the dealer during the second week of August because of the receipt of the registration. The salesperson with whom we were dealing was on vacation the month of August (common) and he referred us to his associate/assistant. She told us to check back at the end of the week. Then the following week. We then kept checking back weekly periodically in person or by email until September 17th. Initially, we were promised a rental vehicle to tide us over until our vehicle arrived. We had asked for a firm delivery date. We were told "how could they ever know" and provided no assurances when we would receive our vehicle. They also did not provide the rental vehicle even though Renault has an entire rental vehicle business. The cherry on top was when we were there on September 17th, they thought it would probably show up on September 14th. Did they have a time machine to rewrite history? We cancelled the sale on the spot. My husband and I returned to Toyota where we bought not only a van but also an SUV. Truth be told, we preferred the features of the Renault van but the customer Service at Renault was so awful we couldn't deal with them anymore. Everyone at Toyota is fabulous, which is why we have purchased three cars from them in less than six months.
