They charge my daughter $1,200 her check engine light came back on 2 days later. She took it back They charged her another $450, days later her check engine light came back on. I don't normally leave reviews and I have no desire to leave a bad one. But I feel the need to express my experience. I called in to get a quote for lowering my car. The gentlemen's name which I don't remember told me it would be AROUND $400. So I took in my car and spoke to George. He told me they're currently fully booked, but to bring it in the following Tuesday and they can get it done. He took down my # and name, and told me he would call within a day to confirm my appointment and pricing. This was Thursday. I NEVER got a call back so I called the following Monday to see if my appointment for Tuesday was still good to go. George answered the phone and told me sorry he didn't call back, he forgot and lost my info. I said no problem. He took down my number again and told me he would call me within the hour to get me a quote. Never heard back from him again. I called just now (2 weeks later), spoke to George and he quoted me $850 without alignment. Really wanted to like this place but I would never support a business that ignores their customers. Especially after I had reached out to them multiple times. Also, their original quote doesn't align with what they eventually told me it would cost. It was more than double! Something is not right here, and I get a weird feeling about this place. Take my word for it or don't, but that is my experience. And I would NOT recommend this place. read more

I took my car to another shop to have more repairs and maintenance done on my car. In the process I explained to them the ordeal I went through with trying to get my AC repaired at this shop. I figured they could maybe take a look at it and give me a discount considering I was having more work done. With no hesitation they went in and discovered that again my car was out of Freon. They also did a thorough inspection and found no leaks, and no evidence of faulty or broken parts associated with the AC. They refilled the coolant and for two days had my car at the shop with the air on to ensure it was fixed. They did this FOR FREE! I asked them what the issue could have been and they were fairly certain that the coolant was never topped off the second time I brought it to Garage 88 for repairs. Otherwise there's no rational explanation as to why my air wasn't working. Been driving the car for over a week now and the air works perfectly and just as it did before. To the business owner - If you really cared about fixing this and making things right you could have and should have reached out to me directly. Considering I spent $600 for no results, you'd think the business would have immediately contacted me after discovering my first review. But no! Instead I receive some half assed rebuttal of my review, which does not take any responsibility for the lost time and money I've spent. Furthermore, it's extremely horrendous customer service to then ask a disgruntled customer to call them to sort it out! All the while you never said or implied I wouldn't get a free repair unless you found your business to be at fault. I'm sorry, but if I paid you TWICE to do repairs that weren't done, how confident and comfortable do you think I'd really feel calling you a THIRD time to potentially shell out more money for the same repair?! This is customer service 101 so consider this a free lesson! If a customer is upset with a similar situation it's up to YOU (the business manager or owner) to reach out to the client directly. By not doing this, you've proven you care more about Yelp reviews and how the general public perceives you, rather than providing quality customer service. If you get food poisoning from the same restaurant twice in a row and the business owner reaches out to you publicly to try and convince you to eat there again would you?! The answer is no! It's your job and duty as an owner to ensure everyone at your company is doing all they can to not only perfect their craft, but make customers happy. No business is perfect! There will be bumps in the road, and issues that arise and that's apparent with anything in life (especially business). It's how you handle those issues that make companies more worth while than others. Even if I was given a partial or full refund (which you should consider) I would still never go back to this shop or reconsider this review. Future customers beware! I prefaced my first review on the notions of I completely understand people have had great experiences here. I'm not here to slander or discredit a good business from continuing to excel at what they do. I had to bring my car back 3 times to fix the same issue. In the end it would have been cheaper to just take my car to a real dealership. Not only was it a waste of time and money BUT, the last time I got my car back my subwoofer near where they did I the work was dead. Distorted blown out sound. $700 to fix their incompetence that they took no responsibility for. ALSO, the top of my hatchback area looked like it had been drown in boric acid. The paint is completely ruined. Again, they took no responsibility for it. I can't afford to re paint. Flargrant incompetent criminality. I regret listening to what seems to be fake positive reviews of the place. STAY AWAY!!! They will ruin your car. They will leave you with constant regret every time you go to use your car. I hate to spoil such a good record, but I'm afraid my experience with Garage 88 was less than halcyon. Late last October I spent $1400 on a dud used ABS module that worked for about six weeks. Shortly after New Years, I brought the car back, since supposedly the part was still under warranty, and whatever Nova did while checking under the hood caused the SERVICE ENGINE SOON light to go on when I left the place to wait for word of a replacement (I'm still waiting, BTW). That was either negligence or a subtle way of saying "Don't come back." I don't think I will. read more

They installed my front suspension only but didn't adjusted to the right height so I had to reschedule, when I took it at the end of that day they called me saying the couldn't get to it but it was going to get done the next day which was a Saturday. Saturday and Sunday come and don't have my truck (transportation) with me. Total cost for them to Only install front suspension and alignment was $800 flat, what should've taken one day has now been 5 days still not sure if it will take longer or what's going to happen. read more

My Jeep was having major issues to the point it was becoming unsafe to drive. I had taken it to the Jeep Dodge Chrysler dealership on two separate occasions & the crew over there just couldn't seem to pin point what exactly was wrong with it. I was told it was my catalytic converter at first & they drained it for me there. I got my car back & the same problems persisted the next day so I took it back to the dealership & was told that it was actually my throttle body & transmission fluid that was the problem. I ended up spending about $600 to replace the throttle body & change my transmission fluid but the problem still did not go away. This is when I found Garage 88. These guys are real Jeep experts and are great at what they do. They figured out for me that the issue was actually one of my sensors that wasn't communicating with the computer of my car and sure enough, that fixed the problem. They also didn't charge me an outrageous amount of money for the repairs. After spending $600 on unnecessary replacements & repairs I was thankful to have gotten my issue finally resolved.
