Owner is honest, even if it results in less revenue…read more I was fully prepared to buy a full set of new tires from Kingsport Used Tires (who happened to have the best prices) due to my teenager running off the road & blowing out one tire. When I arrived, the owner (forgot his name) looked over the tires on the vehicle and said "You only need one tire. If you really want to buy a set, we'll put them on, but you only need one." Most people these days would have happily sold me 4 new tires. Those tires, including the used tire purchased, are still fine 8 months later. Because of this, I recommend Kingsport Used Tire to anyone who will listen.

However, my experience is that they do great work at very reasonable prices. They are certainly not cheep but you can depend on them to stand behind what they do. Most importantly they do not foist unneeded repairs on their customers. This is a full service auto repair shop. Not just oil and filter changes. One example: I have a reasonably high end car that the turn signal lights kept burning out due to a design defect. The dealership charges hundreds of dollars to replace a $5.00 light bulb because they said the bumper had to be removed. When I took it to Express Oil, I watched them take out a bolt, loosen another then reach down and replace the bolt. What was almost a thousand dollars and a day at the dealership was a matter of minutes and $15.00 at Express Oil.

I paid $4 for the filter, $15 for the 5 quarts of full synthetic oil (on sale), making it $52 after everything is said and done
