I like…read morethe colourfulness and casualness of the clothes... they're so cheery, it seems like exactly the sort of things you would dress your child in M-F and send them off to the playground. There's just a lot of fun lightheartedness to the individual pieces - many that simply pop with vibrant colour and playful design - lots of mix and match options that are no doubt meant to be kid-pleasing. The prices here also seem less than some of the other child-targeted shops in the area. If I were actually dressing kids on a regular basis (instead of just buying the occasional gift) this would definitely be my first stop for my would-be children when shopping in the Notting Hill district.

I went here to get a balloon for my daughters first birthday. It was the number 1 balloon and it was 10£! A lot right? Well it promptly blew away when we left the shop because it wasn't tied in tight enough to the ribbon. We went back the the shop and explained and they happily gave us another balloon for free. This is the kind of customer service I really appreciate. Would have given this store a 5 if the prices were more reasonable.

Prices are reasonable. You can also buy accessories like belts here, limited choice of those. Staff are ok, no one went out of their way to provide exceptional service or anything but otherwise polite.

And of course, the requisite assortment of darling child's toys and books - just to make it really hard to leave empty handed. There is a very Parisian feel to the entire boutique. Yes, it's expensive as far a children's clothing goes... but the quality and marvelous attention to detail are temptingly worth it.

I don't have kids of my own yet - merely friends with them - so maybe I'm a little biased... I like the fact that even the *baby* stuff involves layering of fabrics and colours and luxurious detailing. They've got plenty of both dressy and casual fashions. Cute little coats and sweaters... plus gauzy dresses with plenty of glittering overlay - a fashion that never fails to appeal to a little girl. Also, a whole range of great accessories - sunglasses (sunglasses!) and blankets and pretty silver baby cups. A bit pricey, but well-made, and sure to please someone if you're giving a gift.

The service in both shops is excellent and they have often rang the other store to reserve an item if they do not have it in my childs size. On the last visit they even took a coat of the model high on display and (luckily) it fit perfectly. Although some people think this shop is a little expensive I have found it great value for money. The items I have bought from here I have loved and my little girl has worn them over and over again. Much more than any other shops clothing. They have all washed really well with no shrinkage or colour loss. It always quite sad when she grows out of them. I would also recommend the Baby Gap sales as they have 50% off a lot of their clothing!

Yes and it's named after Olive, the owners three your old daughter who apparently presented her best friend Alfie with a t-shirt emblazoned with the words "Olive loves Alfie," which provided the inspiration for the name of the shop. The clothes, toys and books they have there are beautiful and when my friends start squirting out sprogs I will definitely be the toast of all the baby showers, with hampers of perfect presents from this shop.
